The sanitation department of a large county was using Actuate products including e.Report to create reports from multiple data sources for 300 users across different departments. When support was ending for e.Report, they switched to BIRT to continue leveraging their Java expertise. BIRT and iServer allowed users to self-service create detailed reports and queries from various data sources. It provided a sophisticated platform while reducing the IT workload of maintaining servers. The county benefited from easier report creation and a centralized way to deploy reports.
