This document provides an overview and status update of the Aperio CAS (Central Authentication Service) project. It discusses recent releases including CAS 5.0.6 and 5.1.0. It outlines the growth of the CAS community with over 100 contributors on GitHub and highlights new features and integrations added in the CAS 5.1.x release candidates, including risk-based authentication, SAML, OAuth, and multi-factor authentication improvements. It previews upcoming work in CAS 5.2.x and invites engagement from the community. In closing, it thanks photo contributors and provides links for more information.
