This document discusses signature styles used by Cartier on various types of jewelry pieces over time. It provides examples of signatures for bracelets, brooches, earrings, necklaces, and rings from different eras. The signatures are typically stylized cursive or italic scripts indicating the Cartier location, and are placed inconspicuously near closures or edges. Many pieces are also numbered, carry Cartier maker's marks, and French assay marks indicating the precious metal content. In total, 18 figures are presented showing signature examples from Cartier pieces spanning from Art Deco to mid-century designs.
