Through my own company I work as a freelance interior designer
for interior design companies and directly for clients. My focus is
in the hospitality and leisure design sector. I have worked on a
wide range of projects including cafes, restaurants and retail
clients. In addition to this I have recently worked for Your Studio
on pitches for Costa Coffee and Nespresso and for Grapes
Design on a number of bar and restaurant projects.
Project – Isakaya
Working within a tight budget I created a dramatic scheme for
this restaurant that blends traditional Japanese materials and
aesthetics with contemporary elements. The package included
space planning, sketch visuals, FF&E specification and materials Reception visual (SketchUp & PhotoShop)
board. I also developed a new brand identity and directed the Pullman St. Pancras
development of a new logo by a graphic designer I commissioned.
Senior Designer – Love Interiors
January 2012 – date
During this period I have run a number of residential design
projects for Love Interiors. Clients have included developers with
multiple London properties and a variety of private clients
including one large contemporary new build house. My role
includes managing team members and deadlines and dealing with
clients. I have also been involved in developing new processes and
practices to improve efficiency within the company.

2. Senior Designer – Proof Consultancy
September 2007- August 2009 & April 2011- January 2012
Working as part of a small team on a range of hospitality and
leisure design projects I played a key role in all aspects and stages
of the design process. The creative nature of the projects
allowed me to extend my conceptual design skills as well as
improving my hand sketching, visualization, space-planning and
detailing skills.
Project - Pullman St. Pancras
This £11m refurbishment project of a 300 bedroom hotel
included public areas, bedrooms, suites and conferencing
facilities and allowed Accor to re-brand this existing run down
Novotel as the first UK Pullman, their prestigious five star brand. Restaurant visual

As a key member of a small team my role as senior designer on
this project involved, over the course of a year, everything from
the initial pitch to space planning, concept design, furniture
design and specifications, client presentations and the production
of a profile drawing package which was then developed by LRW
Architects into construction drawings. I was an important point of
contact for the client, architects and contractors.
Project - Novotel Eindhoven
As Lead Designer for this hotel refurbishment project I was
responsible for the complete design of reception, bar, restaurant Hotel restaurant
Novotel Eindhoven
and toilet areas from space planning and concept design to FF&E
specification and visualization. Having presented the concept to
the client in the Netherlands, and whilst liaising directly with all
members of the client team, I developed the design into a full
drawing package. I continued to support the team whilst the
project was on-site and lead a cost engineering process required
to meet the client's reduced budget.

March 2007-August 2007
Working on a number of prestigious office design projects
including EDFT in Victoria and Macquarie Bank at Moor House,
my role involved conceptual design schemes, detailing of bespoke

November 2004-March 2007
As the creative interior designer for a number of large and small
scale leisure and retail projects, I successfully designed and
implemented both conceptual and roll-out schemes for a wide
variety of clients from small bars and restaurants to large retail
chains such as Debenhams and New Look. The complete design
service provided to my clients covered all aspects of the design
process from carrying out site surveys, designing conceptual
schemes and producing full working drawing packages as well as Reception area

progress of on-site projects and completing statutory approvals
applications.
Project - Alisan Restaurant, Wembley
I was responsible for the complete conceptual design scheme,
detailed drawing package, FF&E design and specification,
statutory approvals application, liaising with numerous
contractors and carrying out regular site visits. The absence of a
main contractor for this million pound project meant that a high
level of service and involvement with the client and contractors
was necessary.

Having successfully completed a teaching qualification I delivered
a number of short workshops, lectures and presentations on the
subject of pinhole photography to audiences ranging from
children's clubs to a university and an amateur photography
society. I developed presentations and teaching material for my
students and worked with course coordinators to tailor material
to their individual needs.

During this period I undertook a number of residential interior
design projects for private clients. I was also commissioned to
create a large scale piece of artwork for a Holiday Rentals office
in Spain. In addition to this I designed a range of stationery and
promotional materials for a variety of businesses. I also held
several exhibitions of my work including painting, photography
and interior design pieces.
