Carrauntoohill is the tallest mountain in Ireland at 1,000 meters located in the Macgillycuddy Reeks range in County Kerry. It is composed mainly of 1.8 billion year old sandstone that was shaped by glaciation, producing distinctive features, and it is a popular tourist destination for climbing and hiking, including one of Ireland's most challenging climbs.
