Multidisciplinary Analysis of Human Sexuality and Diversity
Learning Objectives
Critically analyze information from academic/professional sources.
Use electronic data bases to find articles.
Practice reading professional writing and recognize valid research and understand the results.
Practice using good writing techniques to support a thesis.
Use multiple perspectives to look at a single issue of culture and gender.
Practice reflection and self-assessment on how research on a topic influences personal opinion.
General Instructions
Select one of the topics listed below and develop a paper that analyzes issues of human sexuality from multidisciplinary perspectives. Apply concepts from three distinctly different disciplines of human study to analyze the particular phenomenon, see listing below one from each column. Incorporate theoretical frameworks, theoretical constructs and other “explanations” that have been used by these disciplines to create a perspective that will provide a possible “explanation” for the issue. This should be the way the discipline approaches the topic, it should not be a listing of findings. For example do not give a historic account of the topic but rather how historians synthesize the historical significance of the phenomenon. The last part of the paper is reflective. Please read all of the material provided in this document before starting your paper.

Title of Paper
The introduction of the paper begins here. Double-space throughout the paper, including the title page, abstract, body of the document, and references. The body of the paper begins on a new page (page 3). Subsections of the body of the paper do not begin on a new page. The title of the paper (in uppercase and lowercase letters) is centered on the first line below the running head. The introduction (which is not labeled) begins on the line following the paper title. Headings are used to organize the document and reflect the relative importance of sections. For example, many empirical research articles utilize Methods, Results, Discussion, and References headings. In turn, the Method section often has subheadings of Participants, Apparatus, and Procedure. Main headings (when the paper has either one or two levels of headings) use centered, boldface, uppercase and lowercase letters (e.g., Method, Results). Typing Template for APA Papers: A Sample of Proper Formatting for APA Style
This is an electronic template for papers written according to the style of the American Psychological Association (APA, 2020) as outlined in the seventh edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association . The purpose of the template is to help students set the margins and spacing. Margins are set at 1 inch for top, bottom, left, and right. The text is left-justified only; that means the left margin is straight, but the right margin is ragged. Each paragraph is indented 0.5 inch. It is best to use the tab key to indent, or set a first-line indent in the paragraph settings. The line spacing is double throughout the paper, even on the reference page. One space is used after punctuation at the end of sentences. The font style used in this template is Times New Roman and the font size is 12 point. This font and size is required for GCU papers.
The Section Heading
The heading above would be used if you want to have your paper divided into sections based on content. This is a Level 1 heading, and it is centered and bolded, and the initial word and each word of four or more letters is capitalized. The heading should be a short descriptor of the section. Note that not all papers will have headings or subheadings in them. Papers for beginning undergraduate courses (100 or 200 level) will generally not need headings beyond Level 1. The paper title serves as the heading for the first paragraph of the paper, so “Introduction†is not used as a heading.
Subsection Heading
The subheading above would be used if there are several sections within the topic labeled in a first level heading. This is a Level 2 heading, and it is flush left and bolded, and the initial word and each word of four or more letters is capitalized.
Subsection Heading
APA dictates that you should avoid having only one subsection heading and subsection within a section. In other words, use at least two subheadings under a main heading, or do not use any at all. Headings are used in order, so a paper must use Level 1 before using Level 2. Do not adjust spacing to change where on the page a heading falls, even if it would be the last line on a page.
The Title Page
When you are ready to write, and after having read these instructions completely, you can delete these directions and start typing. The formatting should stay the same. You will also need to change the items on the title page. Fill in your own title, name, course, college, instructor, and date. List the college to which the course belongs, such as College of Theology, College of Business, or College of Humanities and Social Sciences. GCU uses three letters and numbers with a hyphen for cours.
This document provides instructions for a multidisciplinary paper assignment on topics related to human sexuality and diversity. Students are asked to analyze one topic from perspectives in three different disciplines - one each from the social sciences, applied sciences, and a diversity framework. The paper must include an introduction, sections on each discipline's perspective with at least one source per perspective, a section applying a diversity framework, a self-reflection, and a conclusion synthesizing the theories. The paper aims to develop critical analysis, research, and writing skills through examining a topic from multiple lenses.
The document provides instructions for an assignment to investigate a social issue of interest. Students are asked to:
1) Describe a specific social issue and how it relates to the field of sociology.
2) Discuss which sociological theories and terminology from the course text apply to the social issue.
3) Analyze what is known and unknown about the issue and discuss the value of sociological research on the topic.
Students must use at least 3 credible sources and follow APA style guidelines for citations and references. The assignment requires analyzing a social issue through a sociological lens.

Case Study Question
Society is becoming increasingly dependent on computers and technology for functioning in everyday life. Every aspect of our lives has been affected by the infiltration of computers and technology. Computers are used to conduct business from home, meet new friends and find old friends, maintain communications with distant family, and to meet out some stress relief after a long day at the office. As more and more people rely on computers to succeed each day, it begs the question – are people becoming too dependent on computers, your paper should look at either the historical changes that shook up society or future changes being developed now that will shake up society?
Submission Instructions:
Please answer the question with a minimum of 500 words. Attach the submission in a word document. Credit will not be given if the document is not the minimum number of words.

Research Paper Guidelines
Understanding the process that undergirds principles of research is a primary objective for this course. This project includes a thorough review of literature related the Counseling field. This project should include (1) a title page; (2) an abstract; (3) an introduction to the paper; (4) the review of literature; (5) a methods section; (6) a complete list of references used.
The paper that you will submit should be organized to carefully review research done on a particular topic of your choosing. In the review of literature, you will find it easier and more consistent to use the past tense when describing studies because they have already been completed. Therefore, you should write in the past tense for a scholarly audience, and should use clear and short sentences that generally avoid the use of personal pronouns (e.g., “I”). APA guidelines specify that your manuscript should be double spaced throughout, left justified (with regular “ragged right” margins), and margins should be set to 1 inch on all sides. Please check the Publication Manual of the APA.
Structure of the Paper
Title Page
Title. The title should summarize the main idea of the paper and include the main topic and actual theoretical issue investigated. Good titles are short (< 20 words) and would serve as a type of index of the main issues covered, including the nature of the tasks, participants, or other important variables. Type the title centered, in upper and lower cases, double-spaced.
Running head. Each page of your manuscript has a brief “title” (running head) printed in the upper right hand corner of the manuscript. It should be a maximum of 50 characters, and be followed by the specific page number for that page. A notation as to the specific Running head should be located in all caps, flush left at the top of the title page. For example, on your title page you would show (in the upper left hand corner):
Running head: RESEARCH PROPOSAL - 1
RESEARCH PROPOSAL - 1
Running head: RESEARCH PROPOSAL
On every subsequent page the running head would be right-justified with the page number. [Note: your running head would specify the content of your selected review] For example:

Page two is the Abstract for the paper. It is a brief (150-200 words) comprehensive summary of the research proposal. The Running head and the number 2 are typed in the upper right-hand corner of the page. The word “Abstract” is centered as the first line of type on this page. Type the abstract as a single paragraph in block format (i.e., without paragraph indentation). You may also want to list keywords from your paper in your abstract. Guidelines for Writing a Literature Review· Your final literat.docxwhittemorelucilla
Guidelines for Writing a Literature Review
· Your final literature review requires the selection of at least 10 credible articles from peer-reviewed journals. You may need to select and review a greater number of articles to arrive at 10 articles to address in your paper.
· The articles you have chosen should be those that offer the soundest empirical evidence, from which you will be drawing conclusions about your topic. The quality of your own paper rests on the quality of the published scholarship.
· The literature review should be between 5-6 pages in length, depending on how many sources you identified and how expansive the literature is on this topic. This does not include the title page, abstract, or references pages.
· The required format is double-spaced with 1-inch margins. Follow APA style guidelines in writing and citing references.
· Begin the review by introducing readers to your focal question. What is this question intended to address? You may state your “question” in the form of a problem if you like. This focal question will become part of your introduction.
· It is useful to tell the reader how the review is organized in your introduction section, somewhere between research question and the transition into the body of the review.
· If there is one major theme you want to highlight, state the theme. If there are three major themes or streams of thought on the topic, briefly name them—and then organize the balance of your literature review around those three streams. Think of themes, theories, concepts, lines of thought, and ideas as organizing strategies for your literature review.
· Once you state your focal question, write a transition sentence moving readers into the body of your literature review.
Example: Assume you are writing about the use of therapy dogs with children who have autism. Your focal question (problem statement) might be something along the lines of “Pilot studies suggest that children who have autism may benefit socially from having a therapy dog. However, one of the challenges in introducing a therapy dog to a child with autism is the child may not feel empathy toward the animal and therefore experience difficulty establishing a bond with the animal, let alone improving social functioning with other humans. Little has been explored about the use of therapy animals with children who have autism. American Psychological Association [APA] Style Guide for WritingIntroduction
Students of Grand Canyon University (GCU) are required to use the guidelines provided by the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (6th ed.) for preparing written assignments, except where otherwise noted. GCU has made APA templates and other resources available within the Student Success Center; therefore, students are not required to purchase the APA manual.
PLEASE NOTE:
The curriculum materials (Syllabus, Lectures/Readings, Resources, etc.) created and provided by GCU in the online or Web-enhanced modalities are prepared using an editorial format that relies on APA as a framework but that modifies some formatting criteria to better suit the nature and purpose of instructional materials. Students and faculty are advised that GCU course materials do not adhere strictly to APA format and should not be used as examples of correct APA format when preparing written work for class.
APA Format and Style
General
Academic writing, which is independent thought supported by reliable and relevant research, depends on the ability to integrate and cite the sources that have been consulted. Use APA style for all references, in-text citations, formatting, etc.
Write in first- and second-person sparingly, if ever. This means, avoid using I, we, and you; instead, use he, she, and they. Do not use contractions.Paper Format
1) Use standard-sized paper of 8.5″ x 11″.
2) Margins should be 1″ all around (top, bottom, left, right).
3) Use Times New Roman 12-point font.
4) For emphasis, use italics (not quotation marks, bold, etc.).
5) Double-space.
6) Align the text flush left. Organization
The basic organization of an APA-style paper includes the title page, abstract, body, and reference section, though students are encouraged to follow any specific directions given in their Overview assignment.
Title Page
The title page includes four elements that should be centered in the middle of the page: title, author byline, institutional affiliation followed by the course prefix and number (e.g., Grand Canyon University: PSY 351), and date of submission. Please note that even though APA does not require the date on a title page, it is a requirement for GCU papers.
Being the first page, the title page is where to set up your page header, which includes the running head and the page number. The running head—an abbreviated title that is a maximum of 50 characters—should appear flush left in all uppercase letters in the header on all pages. Page numbers should be in the header, flush right.
To format your running head and page numbers in Microsoft Word 2010, click InsertHeader Blank. In the header box that shows up, type Running head: ABBREVIATED TITLE HERE. After the title, tab over till the cursor is at the right margin, highlight the space, and click InsertPage Number and select Current PositionPlain Number.

COMS 360 Litke – Topic Exploration Assignment 1
Topic Exploration Assignment 1 requires you to select a topic related to EITHER chapter 3 (women’s
rhetorical movements) OR chapter 4 (men’s rhetorical movements) and to explore that topic in greater
detail. You will begin your exploration by reviewing the related material in chapter 3 or chapter 4 and
then will conduct additional exploration of your topic. You will need to narrow your topic to meet the
requirements of the assignment. Keep in mind that papers must be specifically focused on gender.
This assignment serves to strengthen skills in information competence relative to research and support of
ideas. Consequently, you are required to conduct additional research on your topic. Topic Exploration 1
must include a minimum of three current, scholarly academic sources. For Topic Exploration 1, the
textbook can be included as one of the three minimum required sources but should not be the only source
or the primary source of supporting material for your exploration of your selected topic. For most
papers/topics, “current” would typically mean roughly the last ten years, however, some topics might
warrant older sources. The assignment requires that you locate scholarly or academic sources which will
be the general expectation. However, some topics might be so current that the only available sources
might not be found in scholarly/journal type sources. So, the requirement for current, scholarly, academic
sources could vary given topics selected. All papers require credible sources. Make sure that you have a
minimum of three references; that is a requirement of the assignment.
Requirements and Evaluation:
Once you have a topic related to chapter 3 (women’s rhetorical movements) or chapter 4 (men’s rhetorical
movements, you will need to conduct additional research on your topic. You will summarize what you
have learned in a two (full) page minimum, (and three page, maximum), typed, double spaced 12-point
font, Times New Roman paper, standard 1” margins on all sides (unjustified). Sources must be cited in
text and in a reference list in APA format (see the next page for some guidelines on APA format). Provide
ONLY your name in the upper right corner of your paper. Skip a line, and begin your essay. Do not
include a title, headings, running head, or any other identifying information. This will allow you
maximum space to convey your material. Do not plagiarize ANY PART of your paper.
All papers must be well written, clearly supported, and thoroughly proofread. Papers will be evaluated on
content, quality and depth of research, clarity, organization, citation, style, and format. If you have
questions, please email me.

This article discusses racial disparities in hospital segregation in Jackson, Mississippi in the 1960s. It describes how the city's black community organized protests and filed lawsuits to desegregate white hospitals and gain equal access to healthcare. While progress was made through these efforts, racial inequities still persisted in the quality of facilities and treatment between black and white patients. The article provides insights into the political and social challenges of promoting desegregation and reducing healthcare disparities during the Civil Rights era.
Race alone is an inadequate category for studying labor histories because it does not account for other factors like gender. When telephone operator jobs transformed from predominantly white to black workers, African American women faced discrimination and stereotyping in their roles. Bell System's hiring policies and perceptions of black women were guided by wider societal racism and sexism. Bell publications portrayed African Americans in stereotypical, demeaning ways. The New York Telephone Company initially refused to hire African Americans in 1920 due to concerns about customer prejudice, and again in the 1930s during a period of high unemployment that exacerbated racial tensions. Prior to 1940, AT&T had very limited hiring of African American women for telephone operator jobs. The Civil Rights era prompted changes to Bell

This paper explores the use of therapy dogs with children who have autism to determine if the intervention helps these children develop social skills.” Next, you could transition into the body of the review with a sentence such as, “Scholars disagree about the effectiveness of therapy animals in treating children who have autism. One school of thought argues that . . . .”
· When you are done introducing the first line of thought, create a new paragraph to discuss studies which present another line of thought or opposing view.
· Don’t write a literature review where each paragraph discusses a single ...

Motivation is an important factor in educating adult learners because it influences their willingness to learn. Sociocultural factors like cultural conditions can impact adult learners' needs, with some conditions more significant than others. Adults choose to learn based on access and opportunity, which influence their learning along with enhancing formal and non-formal learning activities. Neuroandragogy and andragogy are approaches to adult learning, with neuroandragogy incorporating brain research which is important to understanding adult learning and development.
Question share your perspective on personal data as a.docxbkbk37
Personal data has become a product that is collected and sold by companies, but individuals should maintain ownership over their own data. While data collection can enable useful services, people should give informed consent and have transparency about how their information is used. There are ongoing debates around balancing corporate interests, individual privacy and control, and developing policies that ensure data is handled ethically.
The document asks the reader to write a 1000+ word paper in APA format that supports the death penalty for certain crimes like rape of children, kidnapping, and torture. The paper must use at least 3 academic sources and include a word count. The reader is asked to argue that they agree with using the death penalty in cases involving those severe crimes.
Question In your what are the main workforce.docxbkbk37
The main workforce challenges facing the United States are adequate healthcare staffing and shortages of skilled professionals. The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated longstanding shortages and strained hospital resources. A future model of care delivery in the US must ensure adequate financing and a skilled mobile healthcare workforce. Mobile health clinics and teams of clinicians and health coaches could help increase access to affordable, tailored care that responds to community needs. However, this requires sufficient training and funding support to be successful.
