19. As per Advocates Act,1961; State bar councils have the
power to frame their own rules regarding enrolment.
• ELIGIBILITY [Section 24 of Advocates act]:
1. Citizen of India
2. Must have cleared LL.B.
3. Minimum age is 21 & there is no maximum age
limit.
• FEE:
1. Rs.1000 for form and Rs.14,300 other charges.
2. Rs.14,300 for other expenses
20. Disqualifications [S.24A]:
(1) No person shall be admitted as an advocate on a
State roll-
(a) if he is convicted of an offence involving moral
turpitude;
(b) if he is convicted of an offence under the
provisions of the Untouchability (Offences) Act,
1955 (22 of 1955);
(c) if he is dismissed or removed from employment
or office under the State on any charge involving
moral turpitude. Provided that the disqualification
for enrolment as aforesaid shall cease to have effect
after a period of two years has elapsed since his 2
[released or dismissal or, as the case may be,
removal.]
(2) Nothing contained in sub-section (1) shall apply
to a person who having been found guilty is dealt
with under the provisions of the Probation of
Offenders Act, 1958 (20 of 1958).]
21. ESSENTIALS:
1. To get enrolled with Bar Council of India, a
candidate has to clear AIBE.
2. Candidate must be a member of any State Bar.

23. DLSA releases notifications on its official website.
ELIGIBILITY:
• 10 years of experience to apply for panel of Sr. ASJ;
• 5 years of experience to apply for the panel of ASJ/ADJ/Family
court/Muslim laws.
• 3 years of experience to apply for panel of CMM/MM/Civil
Judge/ARC/ACJ/SCJ.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
• Upon scrutiny of the applications, selected candidates have to
go through an interview.
• Upon selection, an empaneled lawyer has to submit a monthly
report stating the developments made in the cases allotted to
them.
REMOVAL: An empaneled lawyer can be removed from panel if
DLSA is unsatisfied with his work. Or, if he is indulged in some
unethical practices like charging money from beneficiaries.
24. PFRDA [PENSION FUND REGULATORY & DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY]
TENURE: 3 years
ELIGIBILITY:
• Candidate must be a member of any Bar.
• 10 years of experience in Supreme court for Supreme court
panel.
• 7 years of experience in High court for High court panel.
• 3years of experience in District court & Tribunals for
District court & Tribunal’s panel.
SELECTION PROCEDURE: Interview
NOTE: All empaneled advocates are required to maintain
confidentiality.
25. DUTIES:
1. To represent SFIO in trial to conduct prosecution matter in
NCLT/Trial Courts/Court of session and also in Disciplinary
matters before ICAI/ICSI/ICWAI/BCI.
2. To give opinion whenever sought by SFIO in above said
matters.
3. To assist witness of SFIO before their Evidence and guide
them for cross examination.
4. To apply for certified copies of judgments within 3 days and
deliver its copies within 10 days to the officer.
5. To draft Appeal/revision/ any other petition or replies.
6. To perform any other legal duty assigned by SFIO.
NOTE: Panel counsel has right to private practice, but he shall
not appear in matters against SFIO in any court or in other
cases where interest of SFIO is jeopardized.
