Lighthouse Healthcare supports adults with
complex needs including those with a learning
disability, mental health conditions or those with
autistic spectrum condition/Asperger’s Syndrome.
They provide rehabilitation, treatment and support
in a range of specialist hospital and care home
settings in England & Wales and can offer a range
of services from low secure hospital care and locked
rehabilitation, through to longer-term nursing care
and residential mental health treatment therapies.
Their mental health care services focus on providing
support for individuals through the core elements of
person-centred planning, recovery and positive risk
taking.
The Challenge
Lighthouse continued to use different suppliers and
suffered ever increasing prices particularly on paper
and toners. Lighthouse had no previous fixed price
list with its suppliers making it difficult to obtain the
best prices and giving poor visibility on their overall
spend. Deliveries proved to be inefficient as they
were often sent by couriers rather than in-house
teams. As a result, Lighthouse wanted to consolidate
to one supplier that could not only cater to all their
