Gala Coral had approximately 100 suppliers in total, with only 18 of those
accounting for 80% of the groups spend. Gala Coral was therefore looking to
reduce the number of suppliers and consolidate all the commodities under a
single provider with a view to reducing total expenditure including hidden costs.
Tail Management Solution
Phase 1 of our Tail Management solution has seen our team take over the
products and services from 4 main suppliers (Bunzl, Arken, SuppliersTeam and
MDA), 30 smaller suppliers and a range of ad-hoc suppliers.
We now provide Gala Coral with 1120 lines covering a wide range of products,
from wheelchairs and custom made whiteboards, to freezer floor panels and
bespoke furry dice.

of procurement by £60,000 in the first 3 months alone. Gala Coral now have
clear visibility and control of expenditure, with management reports available on
