The webinar discusses five must-do actions for aged care facilities before July 1, 2016 in light of changes to the ACFI funding model. The top five actions are: 1) conduct a funding gap analysis, 2) prioritize ACFI and AC-DC submissions focusing on residents with significant changes, 3) submit based on expiry dates, 4) prepare for mandatory reappraisals, and 5) prepare for a new validation focus from the Department of Health including key areas like palliative care and record keeping. On average, aged care facilities will be $159,000 worse off under the new ACFI funding model after July 1, 2016.
