Unit 1 and Unit 2 Individual
Assignment
One key element of a successful strategic plan is its ability to prepare the organization
to weather and, indeed, to capitalize on the changes in the external environment in
which the organization exists.
Individuals face an equally challenging and rapidly changing environment that they must
plan for. The following excerpt from Friedman and Mandelbaum (2011) expresses these
new challenges.
Broadly speaking, today’s job market can be divided into three segments,
which are steadily collapsing into two. The first includes what are known as
nonroutine high-skilled jobs…
In the second category are routine middle-skilled jobs, involving a lot of
standardized repetitive tasks, of either the white-collar or blue-collar variety…
The third segment of the job market involves workers doing nonroutine low-
skilled jobs that have to be done in person or manually—in an office, a hospital, a
shopping center or restaurant, or at a specific construction site, factory, or
locale….
Putting all three categories together makes clear why the experts speak of job
market “polarization.” Nonroutine high-skilled work becomes, if anything, more
lucrative, depending on the overall economy. Nonroutine low-skilled work can
pay decently, depending on the local economy and how well that worker
performs. But white- and blue-collar routine work shrinks, gets squeezed on pay,
or just vanishes. The net result of the “rising demand for highly educated workers
performing abstract tasks and for less-educated workers performing ‘manual’ or
service tasks is the partial hollowing out or polarization of employment
opportunities,” conclude Katz and Autor. (pp. 75-78)

Given this challenging outlook, we need to think of ourselves as our own company, as

environment. Individuals need a strategic plan just as organizations do. To that end, we
are going to develop individual strategic plans during the next two units, using the tools

A theme throughout this course has been that human and social services professionals constantly apply theories and processes to address issues and challenges. As a social change agent, leader, and advocate, you should be able to apply relevant theories and processes to implement and support change on a local and global scale. As always, codes of ethics should provide guidance as you attempt to bring about change. As the final step in the development of your strategic plan, you will develop an action plan for each year of the strategic plan. For example, your plan might start off with strategic goals at the local level with plans to take these goals national or international in following years of the strategic plan.

Personal Reflection Memo The unexamined life is not worth TatianaMajor22
This document provides instructions for a research paper assignment on strategic thinking, decision-making, and innovation for a graduate course. Students must choose a topic from a list provided or from the chapter readings and research a minimum of 10 peer-reviewed articles on the topic. The 4-5 page paper must include an overview of the topic's importance, the purpose of the research, a literature review summarizing the major points of the articles in the student's own words, an application of the research to business practice, and a conclusion. The paper will be graded based on inclusion of all components, demonstration of critical thinking, use of scholarly research, topic relevance to course materials, writing quality, and proper use and formatting of references.
This document provides guidance on personal development planning (PDP). It discusses what PDP is, why it is useful, and several tools that can help with the PDP process, including skills audits, goal setting, reflection, and time planning. The document outlines four contexts for PDP: personal, academic, career/job search, and informal/experiential learning. It also discusses Kolb's learning cycle and different learning styles. A number of exercises and templates are provided to aid with skills assessment, goal setting, reflective questioning, and tracking progress.
This document outlines the assignments and discussions for the PSY 302 Entire Course, which includes 2 papers for each weekly assignment over 5 weeks, covering topics such as career possibilities, assessment in the workplace, leadership theories, decision making, and life applications. The course materials provide discussion prompts and guidelines for writing assignments on ethics, diversity, motivation, and generational differences in the workplace. Students are asked to discuss career goals and how industrial-organizational psychology could help achieve them, analyze different types of workplace assessments and their strengths/weaknesses, and reflect on developing their academic voice and avoiding plagiarism.
PSY 314: Developmental Challenge
Learning Objectives
1) Identify and describe the range of physical, cognitive, language, moral, and social-emotional development of individuals from conception through adolescence.
3) Apply the developmental theories of Piaget, Vygotsky, Erikson, B.F. Skinner, Bronfenbrenner, and/or Bandura to analyze instructional activities and student behavior.
5) Apply their knowledge of effects of diverse influences on development to individuals from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
Assignment Description
For this assignment you’ll write at least a 4 page (excluding title or reference pages), double-spaced paper in which you demonstrate your understanding of child development, two major developmental theorists and contemporary professional practice. You will choose a specific developmental challenge at a particular age level and then write a paper that demonstrates your ability to apply concepts of two developmental theorists and professional practice. This assignment is worth 50 points.
The term “developmental challenge” refers to a particular aspect of physical, social, or emotional development in which children or adolescents must develop new skills or competencies. For example, learning to read is a developmental challenge faced in early childhood. A list of possible developmental challenges is included below. If there is another challenge you would like to address, you must let me know what it is so I can approve it as an appropriate topic.
In your paper you’ll need to describe the developmental challenge you have chosen, provide an analysis of it from the perspective of two relevant developmental theorists, and integrate findings from two professional references related to your topic. These references must come from the professional literature (peer-reviewed journal articles and other professional literature) that relate to the developmental challenge.
Here are the specific requirements for the two references:
1) One of the references needs to focus on applications or best practices regarding the issue. This could be a best practices paper, a literature review, or recommendations from professional organizations. Best practices refer to techniques, methods, or approaches accepted by the profession as being effective in addressing the challenge. An example would be recommendations for elementary math instruction from a professional organization such as the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. An excellent resource for this type of reference is the professional organization for your particular discipline or specialty. You could identify the professional organization for your discipline and explore the best practice resources they have available through their respective websites. This reference should have been published within the past 10 years.
2) The second reference should be a current (within the last 10 years), empirical (based on data) research report of an actual study conducted on the is ...

Greed
Lust
Gluttony
Sloth
Vices are traits of character that make life go badly for people.
Instructions: The vices listed above are commonly referred to as “The Seven Deadly Sins”. Your job is to decide which ONE of the seven is the WORST vice to possess and make an argument that explains what makes it worse than the others on the list. Be careful not to make an argument that includes two or tries to address both sides. The purpose of this essay is to inform and persuade the reader that ONE of these sins supersedes all others. Use examples from Serial, the OJ series/case, Galileo articles, any of our serial killer notes, etc. One approach might be to choose which killer you think was the worst and focus on how the specific vice caused him to go down this path to destruction. Consider which sin has the most lasting effects or severe consequences and why.
Possible information to include in your essay:
o What is __________ (envy, greed, etc.)?
o Why is ___________ so bad? How is __________ a poison that hurts both others and oneself?

How is __________ a poison that hurts both others and oneself?
o What virtue is the opposite of ________? What are some ways to get rid of ________ from our lives?
· Use at least two CREDIBLE outside sources in addition to the podcast scripts (try to use at least 2 references to secondary sources in each body paragraph). Make sure that you cite your sources correctly. Use plenty of specific, concrete examples to support your argument. Write clearly and coherently. Focus on effectively using the rhetorical strategies we have discussed in class (see Rhetorical Devices sheet or the Thank You for Arguing pdf on D2L for more info on this if you need ideas on what this should look like in context). Also, there are numerous examples of essays on D2L for you to peruse.

LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like
Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems

This document provides an overview of wound healing, its functions, stages, mechanisms, factors affecting it, and complications.
A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.
Communicating effectively and consistently with students can help them feel at ease during their learning experience and provide the instructor with a communication trail to track the course's progress. Portfolio Presentation

There will be IConnect sessions in weeks seven and eight that will allow
students to make a short 10-12 minute slide presentation on the results of
their work this session in building their Career Development Portfolio.
IConnect is found under the “Course Home” tab in our classroom. Those
sessions may be attended by students, and questions and comments will
be allowed on the presentations. That presentation is worth 100 points.
Guidelines for your Presentation:
Generate a 10-12 minute Power Point presentation on your Career
Development Portfolio. Think about three main sections:
· · Introduction
· · Discussion
· · Conclusion
The Introduction and Conclusion may be only one slide each, with the
other 10 slides devoted to the body of your presentation. The
presentation should include no more than 12 slides because of time
limitations.
The 10-12 minute presentation will be followed by a 3 minute Q and A
session, thereby allowing each student 15 total minutes.
Schedule your final presentation session to present the results of the final
project development. Ensure that your Power Point presentation is
posted in the DropBox at
least four hours before the start of your presentation so that files can be
uploaded prior to the start of the presentation. The instructor will upload
your files into the presentation area – as long as you have uploaded your
work in our classroom drop box for the assignment.
You will into IConnect Present (found under the Course Home Tab) a
few minutes before the scheduled presentations are to start for the
scheduled day/evening.
