3. App content is fetched via AJAX but can be stored in localStorage to serve offline. Path caching pre-fetches related data to improve performance.
4. While AppCache works today, the ServiceWorker API proposed by Google
In this talk we will demonstrate and unveil the latest developments on browser specific weaknesses including creative new mechanisms to compromise confidentiality, successfully perform login and history detection, serve mixed content, deliver malicious ghost binaries without a C&C server, exploit cache / timing side channels to extract secrets from third-party domains and leverage new HTML5 features to carry out more stealthy attacks. This is a fast-paced practical presentation with live demos that will challenge your knowledge of the Same Origin Policy and push the limits of what is possible with today’s web clients.
Topics will include: Current XSS filter bypass for IE & Chrome. Same Origin Policy timing attacks on Chrome. Data URI malware with spoofed URLs and ‘download’ attribute. HTML5 drag & drop exploitation. History stealing attacks. Clipboard stealing attacks. Cross-domain hijacking attacks with flash content sniffing, Blob URLs and SVGs. Spoofing URL address bars on modern browsers. Advanced browser encoding quirks and exploitation techniques.

Specific tools are recommended for optimizing different file types as well as Apache and Nginx server configurations for enabling compression of content. The goal is to improve response times for smart phones by reducing data usage through compression without changing the underlying content.
This document discusses developing a hybrid mobile application called weMoin using PhoneGap. It describes PhoneGap's hybrid architecture which allows writing apps using HTML, CSS and JavaScript that can access native device features. It also covers tools like RequireJS for managing dependencies and Compass for writing CSS. Barriers like platform-specific plugins and client-server communication are addressed through solutions like conditional plugins and a file system bridge.
For the novices at Mashup University, this will be the sort of icebreaker that should help you to understand the rest of the material that you'll be exposed to during the rest Mashup University.
The document discusses headless e-commerce websites and microservice architectures. It explains that headless websites separate the front-end from the back-end, with the two communicating through an API. This modular approach allows each component to be developed and updated independently. The document also outlines some of the benefits this architecture provides for developers and merchants, such as faster development, more flexibility, and lower costs.

Webinar Recording: https://www.panagenda.com/webinars/hcl-notes-and-domino-license-cost-reduction-in-the-world-of-dlau/
The introduction of DLAU and the CCB & CCX licensing model caused quite a stir in the HCL community. As a Notes and Domino customer, you may have faced challenges with unexpected user counts and license costs. You probably have questions on how this new licensing approach works and how to benefit from it. Most importantly, you likely have budget constraints and want to save money where possible. Don’t worry, we can help with all of this!
We’ll show you how to fix common misconfigurations that cause higher-than-expected user counts, and how to identify accounts which you can deactivate to save money. There are also frequent patterns that can cause unnecessary cost, like using a person document instead of a mail-in for shared mailboxes. We’ll provide examples and solutions for those as well. And naturally we’ll explain the new licensing model.
Join HCL Ambassador Marc Thomas in this webinar with a special guest appearance from Franz Walder. It will give you the tools and know-how to stay on top of what is going on with Domino licensing. You will be able lower your cost through an optimized configuration and keep it low going forward.
These topics will be covered
- Reducing license cost by finding and fixing misconfigurations and superfluous accounts
- How do CCB and CCX licenses really work?

CAKE: Sharing Slices of Confidential Data on BlockchainClaudio Di Ciccio
Presented at the CAiSE 2024 Forum, Intelligent Information Systems, June 6th, Limassol, Cyprus.
Synopsis: Cooperative information systems typically involve various entities in a collaborative process within a distributed environment. Blockchain technology offers a mechanism for automating such processes, even when only partial trust exists among participants. The data stored on the blockchain is replicated across all nodes in the network, ensuring accessibility to all participants. While this aspect facilitates traceability, integrity, and persistence, it poses challenges for adopting public blockchains in enterprise settings due to confidentiality issues. In this paper, we present a software tool named Control Access via Key Encryption (CAKE), designed to ensure data confidentiality in scenarios involving public blockchains. After outlining its core components and functionalities, we showcase the application of CAKE in the context of a real-world cyber-security project within the logistics domain.
