2. We can’t believe that it has already been several months
since we were all together at our second home at Capital
Camps. We hope the school year is going well!
With only months to go until another incredible summer,
we are happy to present you with a special Chanukah gift:
our 2013 Capital Camps calendar. At the core of Chanukah’s
celebration is the retelling of a story, a memory of our
people’s communal experience many years ago. The
calendar, then, can be a retelling of our summer together
— a summer of fun, friendships, and wonderful memories.
As you page through this year’s calendar, we hope you’ll
take a moment to remember your favorite parts of Summer
2012. Whether it was climbing the wall on the ropes course,
singing in the dining hall, or staying up late with friends,
these are the memories that burn brightly throughout the
year. These memories help us strengthen our Jewish identity
together.
Each day that we light candles for Chanukah brings us one
day closer to another amazing summer together. We can’t
wait for that story to begin!
Happy Chanukah,
Sam Roberts
