The Samuel Clemens High School campus announcements for December 2nd, 2011 include information about: paying library fines with canned goods for donations, an FFA meeting, a National Honor Society induction ceremony, the boys golf team winning a tournament, German calendars for sale, UIL spelling and vocabulary, an Angel Tree to help children, football players named to the all-district team, class rings being delivered, scholarships available, a cookie sale, an Optimist International essay contest, a lost and found, a holiday outfit contest for the yearbook, a dance team fundraiser, and bios and photos of contestants for a Mr. Clemens pageant.

7. The boys golf team won FIRST PLACE
at the John Jay Golf Invitational.
Out of 15 teams the boys shot a team total of 332 to win the
tournament by 8 strokes.
Winning medalist and having the best score at the
tournament was senior Richard Rubio carding a 74.
Playing well was
Calvin Bass shot an 83
Ralph Gomez shot an 85.
Anthony Lopez shot a 90.
Chris Zapata finished with a 95.
Great job boys golf.
