An interactive system called Canovaccio helps people organize and participate in cultural events in public spaces in Venice. Users can demonstrate appreciation for events by using their smartphone like a hat. To join the Canovaccio club, users must throw a virtual ring into the Lagoon from San Marco Square. Members receive a personalized "Murrina" on their profile that grows more detailed based on their activities and feedback. Members can leave the club by passing their Murrina to another user via Bluetooth. New members are voted into the club as current members vote with virtual white or black balls on their smartphones.

6. The ring ceremony.
To receive your personal Murrina, you need to go to
San Marco square and throw your virtual ring in the
Lagoon (like the Doge did during the marriage with
the sea)

8. Your Murrina
In your personal profile area, your murrina will
gain more colours and elements, according to the
appreciations received, your activities, the comments
of the public, the number of events in which you
have been involved.

You can receive your Murrina only after having done
the ring ceremony.
Information shown in a circular way, form the
external part of the Murrina to the center:
_number of activities realised by the app’s user;
_comments of the plublic (with a + or - symbol);
_number of good critics (the critics will sent to the
user their special Murrina’s that will appear in the
center of the performers’ Murrinas)

10. Your Murrina
If you decide to leave the club: you don’t want to be a
member anymore, you have to give your Murrina to
another memeber using bluetooth technology.

To decide if a person can become a member of Cano-
vaccio’s club, all the previus memebers must vote for
him with a white (yes) or black (no) ball.
