Students In Action is a national youth volunteer leadership, recognition and reward program, designed to pass the tradition of service on to the next generation.
Co-developed by Jefferson Awards for Public Service and Deloitte, it is now in over 250 High Schools.
Each spring, Student Leaders from the participating schools compete in regional competitions. They are asked to report on the implementation of the program, and the impact they've had, both in their schools and within their communities.
This presentation was shown at the London launch of Bike Club, a project enabling cycling among children and young people as a learning opportunity.

Even without the commentary from Kevin Mayne (of CTC) and Sarah Troke (Bike Club manager), the meaning of most of these slides is clear.
These are the Powerpoint slides from the London launch of the Bike Club project. Of course, not all the slides will be clear without the discussion that accompanied them.

This is our community submission to our local Council - Macedon Ranges Shire Council about making Cycling the norm. It focuses on the opportunity for MRSC to take a strong leadership role in behaviour change to Make Cycling the Norm in the Macedon Ranges and to create a recognised “active” tourism destination.
The views expressed in this submission are the result of over 12 years of engagement with residents buying and donating second hand bikes, consultation with local cycling groups and Victorian and Australian cycling associations.
The submission explores several opportunities, and makes recommendations for Council to plan, provide, partner, advocate & inform through collaboration with a range of key stakeholders including State and Commonwealth governments, residents, schools and peak cycling bodies.
