MOJO is a Veteran and Minority Owned Small Business dedicated to connecting transitioning military candidates
(Officer and Senior NCO) with national employers through career fairs. Our team of volunteers provides candidates
with resume assistance and career counseling, so they present at their best to the companies at our hiring events. The
majority of corporate recruiters at MOJO are former military who stand tall ready to assist their fellow veterans.

Tom Manion started his career in the United States Marine Corps – retiring after 30 years as a Colonel in the
Marine Corps Reserve. Besides his military career, Tom joined Johnson & Johnson in 1990, and through the years
has held various leadership roles with a reputation for delivering results. He is known for his ability to build high
performing teams and to bring people of different views together to solve problems. As the Chairman Emeritus
of the Travis Manion Foundation, a non-profit organization founded in his late son’s name, Tom has worked with
communities around the country galvanizing people to make a difference for others by conveying a sense of
sacrifice and public service in all they do. Tom holds a bachelor’s degree from Widener University and a Master’s
degree from the Naval Postgraduate School.

ATTIRE: Thursday is Business Casual – No Jeans! Friday is Business Suit or Uniform of the Day;



RESUMES: Bring extras to hand to recruiters at their booths; Keep resumes no longer than 2-pages;



JOBS: Apply on-line for jobs you are interested in – tailor your resume to that job, Bring the job posting with your
resume to the company recruiter – ask about the position.



PREPARE: Look at the company websites; Do not approach a company and ask what they are hiring for. Take
notes when speaking to the recruiters – get their names, emails and business cards for follow up;
