1. CALL PROGRAM ASSESSMENT
The CALL program is designed on five principles; those are interactivity, usability,
content appropriateness, effectiveness, and performance.
a. Interactivity refers to how the program can stimulate interaction, especially the
interaction between the computer and the user. It includes the effectiveness of the
instructions and feedback provided in the program.
b. Usability refers to the flexibility, ease and inherent interest of the program used, and
how easy it is to navigate within the program.
c. Content appropriateness is concerned with the amount of material presented in the
program, how easily the material is learned and understood, and how far the material
meets the students’ need.
d. Effectiveness refers to how effectively the program assists language learners to
improve their mastery of grammar.
e. Performance (attractiveness) refers to the presentation, layout of the screen, the color,
and the illustrations like picture, diagram, charts, etc which are used in the program.
There are four CDs need to be assessed namely Vocabulary, English Word, Learn
English (Talk More! Beginners), and Speak English (Talk More! Intermediate). Therefore,

answer. Nonetheless, some parts of the instructions are hard to be understood so it can
make difficulty in the first using.

interesting. This game is also easy to navigate. However, the user can not choose a
certain menu, and certain theme for group of words.
