This is a precision instrument to accurately measure the thickness of flexible and semi-rigid
substrates like tissue, paper, board, corrugated board, plastic films, laminates, foils, etc.

A dial type caliper gauge is mounted on the base with a Dead Weight on top so as to develop a
uniform, reproducible constant pressure on the anvil through the foot.
