This document discusses different types of cadences in music including perfect authentic cadences where the V-I progression ends with the tonic in the highest voice, imperfect authentic cadences where the tonic is not in the highest voice, and half cadences which end on a V chord instead of resolving to I. It provides examples of these cadences and compares the differences between perfect authentic, imperfect authentic, and half cadences.
