Ada Lovelace was born in London in 1815 to Lord Byron and Anne Isabella Milbanke. She became interested in mathematics and is considered the first computer programmer for writing the first algorithm intended to be processed by Charles Babbage's analytical engine. Her notes on the analytical engine anticipated future computer development. Lovelace made important contributions to science and mathematics through her work with early computers before her death in 1852.
