Dandelion Hashtable: beyond billion requests per second on a commodity serverAntonios Katsarakis
This slide deck presents DLHT, a concurrent in-memory hashtable. Despite efforts to optimize hashtables, that go as far as sacrificing core functionality, state-of-the-art designs still incur multiple memory accesses per request and block request processing in three cases. First, most hashtables block while waiting for data to be retrieved from memory. Second, open-addressing designs, which represent the current state-of-the-art, either cannot free index slots on deletes or must block all requests to do so. Third, index resizes block every request until all objects are copied to the new index. Defying folklore wisdom, DLHT forgoes open-addressing and adopts a fully-featured and memory-aware closed-addressing design based on bounded cache-line-chaining. This design offers lock-free index operations and deletes that free slots instantly, (2) completes most requests with a single memory access, (3) utilizes software prefetching to hide memory latencies, and (4) employs a novel non-blocking and parallel resizing. In a commodity server and a memory-resident workload, DLHT surpasses 1.6B requests per second and provides 3.5x (12x) the throughput of the state-of-the-art closed-addressing (open-addressing) resizable hashtable on Gets (Deletes).

2. Racedaily is a large team selected from around the world comprising, computer analysts, mathematicians and racing experts. Each member of our
team is an expert in their chosen field and together we have created the most unique and accurate horse rating system ever devised for U.K. Horse
Racing
What makes Racedaily different to all the other rating systems currently available?
Virtually every rating system bases their selections on previous form and other statistical data, we however have added a totally new dimension to
the process.
Racedaily has developed a totally unique system, that uses a unique set of criteria and a dedicated computer modeling system, which has been
developed over the last 6 years and which is continuously updated and refined not only by the Racedaily team, but by its own self learning
capabilities.
The modeling system, nicknamed C.E.R.A.S , processes hundreds of sets of data combinations, running and re‐running these thousands of times,
for each race. The result, Racedaily is able to predict the horses most likely to win.
Racedaily literally, quot;RUNS the race, BEFORE the race is runquot;

No. Many trainers keep bandages on their horses all the

time for protection, or support during a race.
3. Lets be honest, horse racing is an inexact sport (science?), horses are unpredictable animals which don't always perform according to expectations.
Jockeys too have their good and bad days (wrong side of the bed syndrome) and if doping and race fixing allegations are to be believed these too
add to the uncertainty of the outcome of the race.
add to the uncertainty of the outcome of the race
No trainer would deliberately race a horse which he didn't think was ‘fit'. But being fit and the horse being at its peak are two different things. Just
because a horse won or performed well in it's previous race doesn't mean it's going to do well in it's next race. Why? There are a multitude of
reasons, for example, it may just have gone off it's peak or it could be that it's at its peak but so are the others and they're just simply quicker on
the day. http://www.racedaily.com
The truth is that each horse is ‘capable' of achieving a certain level of performance and will generally in each race, perform within a given ‘band' or
performance range. How wide that performance range is determines how good the horse is and how often it will win. Horses are often
performance range How wide that performance range is determines how good the horse is and how often it will win Horses are often
‘handicapped' or given ‘extra weight' to carry during a race to try even out their performance and bring it into line with the other horses in the
field. However, think about it. The horse weighs a few hundred kilos and carries a jockey weighing around 7 or 8 stone. What difference is a few
extra pounds going to make? Ok, if the extra few pounds are the equivalent of ‘the straw that broke the camels back'. If you took an Olympic
runner and strapped an extra couple of pounds to his back, would it really effect his performance dramatically? Probably, not. What would have a
greater effect would be if he had a bit of a cold, a minor injury etc . Of course it is also true that horses with the highest handicap generally win,
despite the extra weight, mainly because they are better racehorses.
What we're trying to say is that you can't just take a few facts and figures about a horses previous performance and base the outcome of future
race on these. There are other factors which have a greater effect but that no one takes into account. There is no such thing as a perfect system, for
all the above reasons and many more. Anyone who claims they have one is telling ‘fibs'.
As with casinos, bookmakers have the odds stacked in their favour. What we need to be successful at horse racing is an ‘edge', to shift the odds
from the bookmakers favour to the ‘punter'.
This is exactly what Racedaily provides, an edge How? by running the race BEFORE the race is run www racedaily com

A horse that performs best over long distances. Since a furlong is 1/8 of a mile,
three furlongs are less than half a mile. A stayer would not perform as well on
this short distance.

5. Horse Racing
The best place to start judging any horse racing system, is to experiment with it for a few races to watch if it works properly over time. For this you
need not place live bets to do this. You can initiate using the horse racing system to calculate bets which you would otherwise have calculated on
paper. Remember to keep track of the results you get.
Once you start earning profits using the method discussed above the horse racing system will help you pick a few winners, you may be lured to leap
in with live wagers right away. At this point, several people would agree to place live bet. However, at the same time you must remember that
though the horse racing system is giving some winners, but very soon, the horse racing system will start showing a downward direction of success.
At the same time you must also keep in mind that this should not disappoint you as this is actually a good thing. While the downward tendency
carries on, keep bets on paper for a few more bets, now make some live wagers. Primarily, what you are aiming for is to hit the upwards cycle of
success that the horse racing system will give you.
Almost every horse racing system has an up‐and‐down cycle of success versus failure. Modifying into this natural cycle of a particular horse racing
system is advisable and if you time it correctly, it can establish itself profitable. This type of horse racing system is based on strong mathematical
possibilities, which means you are not using some superstitious, non‐scientific horse racing system. Te best system on the market is Race Daily at

While you are using a horse racing system, it is however advisable that you remember certain things so that you gain immense consistency in being
a winner. These points include, starting off with low stakes, betting on favourites to win, utilizing previous records, watching the price constantly.

6. Horse racing is the sport of kings and dates back thousands of years. So do horse race betting systems that try to predict which horse will win the
race. Betting systems are to numerous to mention them all, it seems that every horse race enthusiast has his or her on horse racing system.
A good horse racing system takes into account lot different criteria. Some of these include analysis of the horses form. Horse racing systems are
often based on financial systems such as hedging (that is where one bets on multiple outcomes in a single race) and arbitrage (lay the horse a low
price and back it at a high price). Some horse racing systems will even includes things such as; horse name, jockey form, trainer form, and lane draw
in their strategy.
Another problem with any given horse racing system, is the variety of different forms of horse races. Horse racing differs from country to country.
In North America the most common types of horse racing occurs on flat surface tracks of dirt or grass and generally are raced by thoroughbreds. In
England, we can find horse racing includes National Hunt racing and flat racing. With all the different forms of horse racing, there have been many
different horse racing systems developed.
Choosing a horse racing system that will work best is highly individual. Each person will have their on requirements and betting habits. So you must
look closely at each system you consider, and decide if you will be able to follow its' recommendations. However, finding that system can give you
consistent results, and quite probably a large amount of money in the process. One of the best systems I have come across was

7. Perhaps there are many horse racing systems that promise to make you thousands of dollars. But have you ever heard of a horse racing system that
is proven to make many thousands of dollars every year and then adds a qualifier to the statement?
What kind of qualifier would a horse racing system require to make it different and perhaps better? Can't anyone make a profit with the right horse
racing system? Perhaps. But there is one horse racing system that carries a qualifier of 4 little words that gave me pause.
I will ask the question again: What kind of qualifier would a horse racing system have to have to make it different and perhaps better than all the
other horse racing systems out there? These 4 little words mentioned about a horse racing system made me stop and think. Here they are: in the
other horse racing systems out there? These 4 little words mentioned about a horse racing system made me stop and think. Here they are: quot;in the
right hands.quot; Surprised? Does it make you wonder if you have what it takes to make this horse racing system work? Baloney!
I think any good horse racing system worth its salt should work in not only the quot;right hands, quot; but the quot;wrong handsquot; as well. You see, horse racing is
largely about numbers. A good horse racing system has to deal with some type of numbers. So a good horse racing system plays the numbers, at
least in my book.
This is precisely why a good horse racing system has nothing to do with what you have in the way of talent or experience. A good horse racing
system puts a life‐changing monthly income within easy reach of anyone who works the horse racing system.
If that s true, why haven t more people made a fortune with their horse racing system? Good question. Truth is, not every horse racing system is a
If that's true, why haven't more people made a fortune with their horse racing system? Good question. Truth is, not every horse racing system is a
winner, just like horses. You have to do your homework and find a good horse racing system based on sound principles.
Then what? Well, you should select a horse racing system and try it out a little to see if it's a horse racing system that fits with your way of thinking
about betting on horse racing.
Experiment a little to learn the horse racing system. Place some bets with play money for the first few races to see if the horse racing system works.
And here's an important key for trying out any new horse racing system with phony bets to begin with: When the horse racing system produces
some winners, you will be tempted to place live bets right away. Resist the temptation to implement the new horse racing system with live bets as
soon as it starts to deliver winners. Wait until the horse racing system fails to deliver a winner. THEN go live with a live bet using the horse racing

No matter what horse racing system you use, don't bet the family farm on any one race. Find a horse racing system that works and then work the
