Dear	Students,

Subject:	Status	Report	1	for	October	18,	2015

Project	Description
The	planning	of	the	non-profit	automotive	service	center	is	going	as	scheduled	and
we	have	not	encountered	any	impeding	problems,	nor	are	there	any	that	we
anticipate.

Work	Completed
As	of	October	23,	2015,	we	have	distributed	the	sections	that	each	team	member	has
individually	researched	in	detail. By	sharing	our	findings,	the	team	has	knowledge
of	the	materials	and	equipment	necessary,	as	well	as	the	services	the	non-profit
automotive	center	will	provide.
• Anticipated	Costs
If	we	were	to	buy	equipment	individually,	as	opposed	to	renting	a	building	with	the
necessary	automotive	equipment	already	installed,	the	estimated	costs	of
equipment	add	up	to	an	estimated	$47,700.00. The	estimated	costs	of	the	office
equipment,	rent	for	building	and	possible	rental	of	equipment	are	$16,550.00	for
startup	costs	and	$1,360.00	for	monthly	expenses. Considering	we	will	be	a	non-
profit	organization,	the	cost	on	materials,	equipment,	and	labor	will	be	presumably
lower.

Work	Scheduled
We	have	scheduled	the	writing	of	the	business	report,	in	individual,	assigned
sections. We	will	post	on	Google	Drive	before	November	1,	2015,	in	order	to
collaboratively	edit	and	discuss	via	conference	call	or	Google	Drive	November	2,
2015. We	plan	to	have	the	business	report	rough	draft	posted	by	November	3,	2015,
and	the	final	business	plan	finished	and	posted	no	later	than	November	11,	2015.

Best	Regards,

Katie Stanfield
