In line with Omnicane’s green initiatives to go paperless, I was
appointed to analyze and improve the printing process at their
premises. In relation to this issue, a BRP project was built up.
It consists of making a drastic change in Omnicane to reduce the
use of paper.
3. PRINTING ISSUE
In Omnicane, the rate of printing has increased over the previous
years, as you have seen in the report.
A small survey was conducted and it was found that the company
secretarial department represented the highest volume of prints.
4. METHODOLOGY
As a result of the survey, it was also found that application of local
and sick leave need to be electronically done. Therefore, I have come up
with an idea of creating a web base application called the “Local and Sick
leave Process” which will permit each user to apply for leaves via their
computer.
There will be a normal user sign in to be used by the staff. An admin
sign for the IT department and a Super User sign in for the head of
department.

To build the web application, several languages will be used:

JAVA Script
6. DEMONSTRATION
Login as Normal User to see the whole operation
Login as Admin to see the backbone of the page
Login as Super User to see who has taken local and sick leave.
