BUSINESS MODEL
• Our chosen form of business was to launch an art gallery in Second Life. This is a joint business venture
with Yeonju.
• Our business model is to showcase arts we have created in the art gallery and have them available for
purchase for decorative purposes.
BUSINESS MODEL
WHY?
• Some galleries are purely for viewing purposes,
some galleries does commissions and others sell
other peoples art works.
• Role-playing is quite significant in Second Life, and
for some users to fully immerse themselves into
the virtual environment, they will purchase these
arts through in-game vendors rather than
obtaining images through an external source (e.g.
Google image search) because the latter will
break the role-playing immersion.
• I have been drawing for most of my life and I
always wanted a exhibition of my own.
PARTNERSHIP
• Yeonju and I decided to work together as business partners because
we can both contribute to the art but also we have different drawing
styles, thus diversifying the art range.
• At the end of each week Yeonju and I have agreed to split any
revenue evenly, 50/50, regardless of whose artwork has been
purchased.
• Each of us have different roles within the business. I am in charge of
marketing and promotion whereas Yeonju is the shop manager and
overall supervisor.
• Both of us are shared owners and have equal amounts of power in
the business.
ADVERTISING
• I have created a Facebook page where I can upload artworks available in
the gallery.
• I will post future events and sales on to the news feed
• Lastly I have made a post in the Second Life community forums to get more
direct attraction from the Second Life player base as well as Flickr.
R&S GALLERY
We have art works in a variety of styles including digital art, fine art, and mixed-media works.
