Business analytics is defined as a process that begins with collecting business data and sequentially applying descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics. This process supports business decision-making and improves organizational performance. There are three main types of analytics: business intelligence, which analyzes what is currently happening and past performance; analytics, which examines current and future trends; and business analytics, which considers current and future events to determine the best strategy.
