Burnout Cheat sheet
To stay away from burnout, you should know what to look for. Read through this list and see
how many of these symptoms you possess.
1.Not enough drive
It's significantly more difficult to push yourself to get up and work. You no longer have any drive
or passion. When you're burned out, it's hard to get yourself to do the work. It helps you feel bad
about yourself. It could be the first clue!
2.Exhaustion
It's the clearest sign of being burned out. You can be mentally, physically, or emotionally worn
out. If you're depressed, overweight, or have heart disease or back pain, you should think about
your job. You might have noticed that you feel less hopeful than you used to. So you shouldn't
ignore bad feelings, and it's important to figure out when they began.
3.Cognitive problems
Stress and burnout can make it hard for you to focus and pay attention.
Stress hurts the part of the brain that is in charge of executive functions. Executive functions are
in charge of controlling emotions, remembering things, and staying on task. If you start to forget
important things and make silly mistakes, you may be getting burned out.
4. Not caring for yourself
When people are burned out, they do things that are bad for them and lose control. They start
drinking too much alcohol, eating too much fast food, or not sleeping enough. Self-medication is
the other side of the coin because of this. It includes using sleeping pills or coffee to calm down
and get to sleep or to wake up the brain.
5.Difficulty getting along with others
Stress affects not only how much you get done, but also how you act around other people. At
work, you may be able to handle your stress, but not at home. Because of this, your
relationships suffer and you end up in stupid fights. But sometimes people don't talk to each
other.
Do you have more than three of these signs? It's about time you did something! There are some
ways to stop feeling burned out.
1.You really need to take a break.
It should be something you like. Like reading a book, listening to music, meditating, spending
time with loved ones, etc.
Get enough sleep. Not getting enough sleep can lead to burnout, but it can also make you less
motivated, more sensitive, and more stressed. You can avoid it by sleeping 7–8 hours every
night. Don't take sleeping pills if you can't fall asleep. And by "pills," I mean anything that makes
you sleepy, like alcohol. If you read my article about how to sleep, you won't need pills.
3. Get in order
People in the burnout state worry a lot about not having enough time to do something or
forgetting something important. Clear your mind and get more in order. Start keeping a journal
or a list of things to do so you don't have to remember all of these things.
If you know you're burned out but nothing helps, the problem might be your job. The main cause
of burnout is the wrong job. So, you have to decide whether work or health is more important to
you.
