This presentation is from a bamboo workshop session conducted with students on the topic of building construction and material. The intention was to first introduce students to the material and then give them exercises that involved the application of the material itself.

14. A non profit organization working with Bamboo farmers in Kerala. They are
interested in showcasing the various ways in which bamboo can be used in construction.
They have planned to design a space for this purpose in a 9’ wide x 12’ long x 15’ high
space built with load bearing brick walls. They would like to split the space into two floors.
The ground floor will have a small exhibition space that showcases bamboo as a material.
In the mezzanine space is a small open office which can accommodate 6 people .
Note: Any flooring, supports and or wall material you use should come from bamboo.
