 David Neagle brings valuable information to
entrepreneurs on how to more effectively run
their businesses. For instance, David Neagle
gives advice on how best to grow a list of clients.
When trying to expand a business, you might be
tempted to focus on accumulating as many leads
as possible. However, this is not necessarily the
best approach, especially if many of the
individuals on the long list are not that interested
in the product or service you offer. Instead, focus
your attention and effort on finding better
clients who actively support your business.
Building a Great Client List
 To do this, you need to form personal connections with
people. If you try to make these connections from the
office, you will not typically achieve success. Instead, you
should go out into the community and have in-person
conversations.You might meet potential clients anywhere,
even in your day-to-day travels, such as when you go out
shopping. Consider where your ideal customers would go
on a regular basis, and seek them out.
Attending events, or even organizing your own events, are
other ways to meet potential customers.When you form
personal connections in these settings, you set up a strong
foundation for success. Later, when you reach out to these
individuals, such as by sending out a newsletter, they are
more likely to respond with action.
