Position Title: Development: Bug Specialist
FLSA Classification: Exempt
Supervisor’s Title: VP of Research & Development, CEO
Schedule: Full-time, Regular, Monday-Friday.
Performance Review: Annual (Follow up monthly for 1st
year: 1, 3, 6, and 9)
Position Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
The Bug Specialist works with Fathom Voice Development Team to test and correct bugs that have been generated from new software
or application updates. The Bug Specialist creates, tests and evaluates applications and systems to ensure proper functionality and
that such systems meet the needs of Fathom Voice users.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensure proper testing procedures/methodologies before release of applications.
• Perform coding/programming to correct projects for Fathom Voice web/software applications.
• Serve as a resource to the various Fathom Voice employees and departments to identify and resolve bugs.
• Assist Development Team in composing proper documentation/instructions in use of web applications.
• Stay current on programming/coding skills and innovations, including but not limited to Java (Android), C, C+ and iOS.
• Work productively within individual and team settings.
• Attend meetings and events as required.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education & Experience:
Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or
training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret code, in particular as it pertains to Fathom Voice. Having the ability to write reports, business
correspondence, and procedure manuals is a huge bonus! Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from
groups of managers, clients, customers, and Fathom Voice partners. Ability to solve practical problems and be innovative in
troubleshooting issues come across during testings. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or
schedule form.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position occasionally involves the supervision of seasonal interns.
Training Requirements:
No specific training is required for this position.
Physical Demands:
Working with code takes a special kind of person. You know the importance of being able to read and interrupt data and information
on computer screens for long periods of time, and, of course, just digging in and trying to solve an issue by repeated trial and error.
Here are some other things we are think are important to point out: frequently sit, talk and/or hear. Sporadically stand, walk, use
hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Position requires close vision (clear vision at 20
inches or less), distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), peripheral vision
(ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point), depth
perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships) and ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust

• Occasionally the work environment will involve working near moving mechanical parts. The work environment will
sporadically involve wet or humid conditions; work in high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outdoor weather
