2. Current Position Summary
I am responsible for negotiating and contracting all third party rights, in regards to Client advertising,
managed by Y&R Agencies. I am responsible for insuring production shootings, securing ownership of
productions (TV, Print and Digital), pre-negotiating usage options for potential future use and for insuring
that all third party rights are covered prior to the Works (TV, Print and Digital productions) use. In short,
my job is to insure that all Client advertising is covered for initial use and can be easily exported and
adapted for use in other media and regions at a reasonable cost. As well as to understand and advise on
Talent issues in their region, that may affect the advertising.
I am responsible for rolling out global policy, on talent and third party related issues to their region(s).
Major Responsibilities and Duties
• Manage the Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) asset review meeting, determine
negotiation needs and strategy.
• Provide team with internal / existing options of TV commercials, print images, digital productions
that might work for their needs (repurpose ROI).
• Consult on content buying strategy.
• Consult on legal Associations/Unions strategy where applicable.
• Manage and negotiate all third party rights contracts, tabulators and licenses:
o Shooting abroad or non Union
o Manage estimates
o Manage / consult on talent issues (Nationalization policy, taxes, etc.)
o Background checks if needed
o Alert team of potential issues / conflicts
o Use preferred party suppliers to optimize negotiations
• Manage celebrity and over scale negotiations and contract compliance
• Manage collection of contracts and completion of Talent Summary Report (TSR).

3. • Provide reuse estimates based on media buy
o Manage the reuse estimate budget and flag Account Team & talent if approaching overages
maybe required.
o Link with extreme reach with Traffic Department for talent payment.
• Alert agents of first use.
• Clear all rights for adapted work.
• Art buyer of stock imagery.
• Manage all foreign use requests:
o Provide estimates
o Process Intercompany Work Orders (IWO)
o Talent payment
o Update TSR to provide alerts when work expires
• Manage / ensure talent payments (collect talent invoices, tax papers, etc.)
• Insure proper work (stock images) are uploaded to image library.
• Use CORE system for talent estimates.
• Manage input of short list talent to casting database (mandate for testimonials: i.e. Dentists.
Strongly recommended for PC models particularly body and hair care).
• Assist producer in creating talent playlist for pre production or other sharing.
• Manage process for special castings (i.e. testimonials, real people, etc.)
• Miscellaneous talent reports, reuse spending, celebrity use, handle music licensing inquiries and
stock footage requests and execute licenses where required (domestic, regional and global as
needed).
OTHER
• Participate in the Agency’s Performance Management Process, including self-evaluation and
offers 360 feedback upon request for work colleagues and/or management; establish goal
settings.
• Adopts responsibility for agency-wide initiatives that enhance and encourage the growth of talent
and networks to bring new talent to agency.
