About
Founded almost three years ago by CEO Rob Jupp, Brightstar Financial
is a business-to-business company providing bespoke finance for
secured loans, bridging finance, commercial funding and specialist
mortgages. Led and staffed by highly motivated and knowledgeable
specialists, many of whom had been made redundant in the financial
crisis of 2007/8, the business has established both a strong reputation
among brokers and independent financial advisers and an impressive
track record of tripling turnover every year.

Although the company had done well, Rob knew he was so busy
working in the business rather than driving it forward in a considered
way, that he was risking his vision of creating a stable, sizeable and
sustainable firm. Reaching his destination required the business to
focus on the things that would get the right results, its people to be
prepared for growth and Rob himself to be re-energised to lead the
next big leap forward with confidence and clarity.

How GrowthAccelerator has helped
Brightstar has been boosted by the support of
GrowthAccelerator since February. That’s when
Growth Coach and business mentor and
training specialist Paul Cook became Rob’s
sounding board and solution provider.
Together they plotted a course between where
the business was and where Rob wants it to go,
identifying the key issues that will deliver his
vision as well as obstacles - and ways to
overcome them - along the way.
The partnership has proved a powerful one.
Rob’s vision and a new strategy have been
articulated and their leadership, organisational
and cultural implications addressed.
Communication has been improved, making
for a more cohesive management team with
shared goals and attitudes. The performance
of the four divisions has been sharpened
through a re-engineered structure and a
bespoke nine-month development programme
for their leaders.
