It is indeed odd that in occasions of remarkable technological progress, we typically never think twice inside the situation of deciding to buy some “cool” technological gadget, which often will most likely not give us any financial advantage in exchange; but we have grow to be rather hesitant to dedicate our funds on contemporary engineering which has truly proven its worth. Getting said that, the actual truth is the fact that most staff change opinion in the quick time, when they uncover a document in just a number of seconds and uncover for themselves how quick and simple it is to discover a piece of content with their company’s new document management application.

6.
Reflections, Roadblocks & Future Improvements:
Overall, our team worked well together and we were able to successfully compromise when
opinions and ideas differed. While planning our business, we did run into some topics/areas we
had not considered. These were brought to our attention from the feedback we received from
Professor Harris on our business proposal and our business processes document. For
example, one of the issues we did not consider was shipping alcohol across state borders. We
decided to use FedEx as our sole shipping partner. This decision was made with info obtained
from
https://support.shippingeasy.com/hc/en-us/articles/203981689-Shipping-alcohol-with-USPS-UP
S-and-FedEx.
On the technical side, we did run into some issues. While creating our website in Visual Studio
2013, we had problems with getting our master site to work properly. We feel that this was due
to a glitch in VS2010 and this issues was fixed when working on a school terminal. We were
also having some issues trying to pass data from our registration page to our registration
confirmation page. However, we decided to resolve this issue by looking at our past practice
assignments in this course for reference. Apart from issues with the remote session & passing
data, we were able to get our website looking and functioning how we wanted to.
While we didn’t encounter any major issues in completing our project, there are a few points
that we could improve in the future (given more time):
1. We would focus on updating our purchase tracking database to allow for more detailed
data storage.
2. We would like to add a rewards program feature to our business & our website. This
would be in an effort to retain loyal customers!
3. Another feature we would be interested in adding to our website would be a “latest
trends/news” section on our homepage that displays the latest info on upcoming brews,
local beer events in Jacksonville (should the customers be visiting), and even recent
trends in the microbrewery industry.
