Van Leeuwen J.C.R. (2014). The Leadership GameRico Leeuwen
The document discusses a study that investigated the influence of vertical versus shared leadership on team success. Team success was measured by team performance, group development, and engagement. Participants were divided into teams with either a formally appointed vertical leader or shared leadership. Teams played a computer game and had to solve puzzles. Results showed the leadership manipulation failed, as none of the teams met the definitions of vertical or shared leadership. However, informal vertical leadership was compared to shared leadership and found to have no significant difference on team success. The study sought to better understand team dynamics and the role of leadership in teams.

The document contains a series of brain teasers and riddles posed by Zara, a designer at an online template company. The riddles cover topics like wordplay, logic, and predicting outcomes. One riddle involves a woman who shoots, drowns, and hangs her husband but they later have dinner - the solution being she was a photographer taking non-lethal pictures of him.
The school environment is an ideal place to begin the work of addressing mental health needs. Not only does the school offer a simple and cost-effective way of reaching youth, but it is also a convenient place where mental health can be linked with other aspects of health, such as physical health and nutrition, and with learning.
This document provides examples of different scoring systems that can be used to modify a simple word game and influence the behaviors and learning of players. It describes scoring based on quantity, length, bidding, time limits, uniqueness, creativity, and more. The goal is to illustrate how changing the scoring changes what is measured and rewarded in a game.
This document discusses visual puzzles and games that aim to exercise thinking. It describes ambigrams, which are words that can be read the same upside down or rotated. The document also covers designing puzzles to teach letter parts or typography concepts. Games are proposed that turn images like photos into interactive puzzles by having players find details. The goals are to design casual games for mental fitness as part of a healthy lifestyle using trends like social media and player-generated content.
Mental health is essential to overall health and well-being. It involves how one thinks, feels, and acts when facing life's situations. Key aspects of mental health include cognitive thoughts, emotional feelings, and behavioral actions. Maintaining positive mental health requires recognizing thoughts and feelings, understanding where they come from, and responding to them in healthy ways. It also means taking care of one's physical, emotional, and social needs through a balanced lifestyle and stress management. Seeking help is important when warning signs of mental health issues emerge.
The document contains a series of "icebreaker brain teasers" intended to engage readers through visual and linguistic puzzles. The teasers include spotting hidden words, counting letters, and recognizing optical illusions. The final sections provide information about a consulting firm called XONITEK that helps clients optimize business processes and leverage new technologies.
The document presents 10 puzzles with clues and solutions about unusual events that require creative explanations. The puzzles include a man dying from a lion attack during a photo, a mail courier visiting foreign embassies and thus foreign soil, and a woman giving birth and dying in a locked car. The solutions provide logical explanations for events that seem impossible or unexplained at first glance.
This short document appears to be about a game involving hidden pictures and clothes. It contains three words: "Clothes", "Hidden Pictures", and "Game", which suggests a game where pictures are hidden within clothing images that the player must find. 5-hydroxytryptamine or 5-HT or Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that serves a range of roles in the human body. It is sometimes referred to as the happy chemical since it promotes overall well-being and happiness.
It is mostly found in the brain, intestines, and blood platelets.
5-HT is utilised to transport messages between nerve cells, is known to be involved in smooth muscle contraction, and adds to overall well-being and pleasure, among other benefits. 5-HT regulates the body's sleep-wake cycles and internal clock by acting as a precursor to melatonin.
It is hypothesised to regulate hunger, emotions, motor, cognitive, and autonomic processes.

Cell Therapy Expansion and Challenges in Autoimmune DiseaseHealth Advances
There is increasing confidence that cell therapies will soon play a role in the treatment of autoimmune disorders, but the extent of this impact remains to be seen. Early readouts on autologous CAR-Ts in lupus are encouraging, but manufacturing and cost limitations are likely to restrict access to highly refractory patients. Allogeneic CAR-Ts have the potential to broaden access to earlier lines of treatment due to their inherent cost benefits, however they will need to demonstrate comparable or improved efficacy to established modalities.
In addition to infrastructure and capacity constraints, CAR-Ts face a very different risk-benefit dynamic in autoimmune compared to oncology, highlighting the need for tolerable therapies with low adverse event risk. CAR-NK and Treg-based therapies are also being developed in certain autoimmune disorders and may demonstrate favorable safety profiles. Several novel non-cell therapies such as bispecific antibodies, nanobodies, and RNAi drugs, may also offer future alternative competitive solutions with variable value propositions.
Widespread adoption of cell therapies will not only require strong efficacy and safety data, but also adapted pricing and access strategies. At oncology-based price points, CAR-Ts are unlikely to achieve broad market access in autoimmune disorders, with eligible patient populations that are potentially orders of magnitude greater than the number of currently addressable cancer patients. Developers have made strides towards reducing cell therapy COGS while improving manufacturing efficiency, but payors will inevitably restrict access until more sustainable pricing is achieved.
Despite these headwinds, industry leaders and investors remain confident that cell therapies are poised to address significant unmet need in patients suffering from autoimmune disorders. However, the extent of this impact on the treatment landscape remains to be seen, as the industry rapidly approaches an inflection point.

Improved Brain Fitness with Brain Games (BrainGymmer)
1. Brain Fitness
Can you improve Brain Fitness
With Brain Training Games ?

2. Brain Fitness
• Just like your body, your brain needs regular exercise to stay in shape
• Brain Fitness is a rapidly evolving area of neuroscience
• Research has shown that:
– after the age of 30 cognitive functions start to decline
– brain functions can improve by training them
– this is done by generating new brain cells (neuroplasticity)
– better brain fitness can reduce dementia, alzheimer etc
• Brain Fitness is a growing Industry:
– The worldwide digital brain health and fitness software market is expected to grow from
$300 million in 2009 to $ 2 billion in 2012
3. Why Brain Training Games?
• Brain Training Games have shown to be an effective way to activate brain functions and
neuroplasticity, thereby improving cognitive areas such as working memory, concentration,
logical thinking, visual perception
• Fun to Play, Good for your brain
• On BrainGymmer, members can play 15+games, make 20+ tests, and get personal
coaching. The combinations of these 3 is important to keep members involved.
4. Academic Controversy?
• Hundreds of researchers worldwide are studying the effects of brain training
games. Some find evidence for positive effects, some of them do not find
evidence at all.
• How come ? There are many contextual factors involved in brain fitness related
academic studies (food, drinking patterns, sleep, stress etc), it is therefore hard
to get enough scientific evidence considering that many factors play a role and
these can not always be excluded sufficiently from experiments.
• BUT: When you ask users of brain training programs, they report positive effects
(less stress, beter concentrated at work, working faster and with less mistakes,
better at remembering names, happier etc). WHY these effects appear is in this
context less important than THAT these effects appear.
• We can conclude: brain training games improve your brain fitness
5. Brain Fitness is more than a game..
• Brain Fitness is more than just brain training games
• You can also improve your brain fitness by:
– Physical Exercise
– Less Alcohol and Smoking
– Meditation
– The right amount of Sleep
– Increasing your knowledge, learning new things
• This often takes time and courage, an
easy start is therefore:brain training games.
