A talk I gave at Creative Matters (the bi-annual gathering of UKTI Creative Industries specialist International Trade Advisors), outlining the three key reasons why Bournemouth had been recognised as the UK's Fastest Growing Digital Hub. The three core factors are: Assets - two universities, successful globally recognised brands and a high concentration of creative agencies; People - a close knit community of entrepreneurial, driven individuals who have made the town home and want to see it grow; and Events - a grass-roots network of community-led events that support the widening digital sector

I was very kindly invited to be interviewed for a the 'Imagination Edition' of London's uber-cool creative publication, 'Fabric-a Magazine'. It ended up being a first-up, fourteen page feature exploring many aspects of me and my most recent work. I hope it gives some background as to who I am and what I'm all about. It was certainly a very humbling experience and I am am very grateful to Creative Director Andrea Horne, and Editor In Chief Edyta Michalska for the more than flattering opportunity to share my work and outlook.

Pattern recognition gets renowned and come in touch with us since 1960Ã¢â‚¬â„¢s and it get lots of attention from all over the world by their outstanding characteristics. In this paper Pattern recognition was presented, including idea, system, application and incorporation. In the meantime, ten descriptions and also more than ten techniques, for example- recognition was compressed. At the end, grouping of PR and structure and its associated fields and also application ranges were presented at point of interest. PR has researcherÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s attention attracted in the last few decades as an approach of machine learning because of its areas of extensive spread application. The application area contains business, speech recognition, data mining, communications, military intelligence, automations, medicine, Bioinformatics, document classification and various others. In this review paper many Pattern Recognition approaches have been reviewed and also their pros/cons, application particular paradigm has been presented. The signature Recognition and check framework is used to aware and confirm individual's written hand signature. Presently transcribed mark is a standout amongst the most commonly acknowledged individual traits for personal attributes. Signature verification gives approval in money related and business exchange. Signature confirmation finds its uses in the field of net keeping money, travel permit check framework, gives validation to a hopefuls in broad daylight examination from their marks, charge cards, bank checks.

Shearlet Frames and Optimally Sparse Approximations

Shearlet theory has become a central tool in analyzing and representing 2D and 3D data with anisotropic features. Shearlet systems are systems of functions generated by one single generator with parabolic scaling, shearing, and translation operators applied to it, in much the same way wavelet systems are dyadic scalings and translations of a single function, but including a directional parameter. The success of shearlets owes to an extensive list of desirable properties: Shearlet systems can be generated by one function, they provide precise resolution of wavefront sets, they allow compactly supported analyzing elements, they are associated with fast decomposition algorithms, and they provide a unified treatment of the continuum and the digital world. This talk gives an introduction to shearlet theory with focus on separable and compactly supported shearlets in 2D and 3D. We will consider constructions of band-limited and compactly supported shearlet frames in those dimensions. Finally, we will show that compactly supported shearlet frames satisfying weak decay, smoothness, and directional moment conditions provide optimally sparse approximations of a generalized model of cartoon-like images comprising of piecewise C² functions that are smooth apart from piecewise C² discontinuity edges. This talk is based on joint with G. Kutyniok and W.-Q Lim (TU Berlin).
