This document provides an overview of a proposed "Book Bucket" project. The project aims to create a website that allows students to buy and sell used textbooks online within their college. ABSTRACT
“Book Bucket” is an online, inter-collegiate book selling website. The students are allowed to
sell the books of their previous semesters and buy the ones they need currently, paying a certain
amount. The project aims at creating a network where the re-use of old books is efficiently
manages and the students get access to books as and when they need. Book bucket will help
students manage their resources (i.e., books) in an easier way and help each other out by
selling books instead of just putting them away after use.

1. INTRODUCTION
Book Bucket is a website that will deal with the sales of books. Those in need of books for
their current semesters can easily purchase them online instead of making trips to different
bookstores. It also helps increase the value of re-use in books as old books can be put up for
sale and bought by students who need them currently. It enables students to buy books by
paying online and also sell them.

2. LITERATURE SURVEY

It shares the state of the results of other studies that are closely related to the study being
reported. It [1] relates the study to the larger, ongoing dialogue in the literature about the topic,
and it provides a framework for establishing the importance of the study. It [2], [3] can serve
as a benchmark for comparing the results of the study with other findings.

3. OBJECTIVE
At the end of this project, we expect to have a working website that enables students to buy
and sell their books online.

Propose the work to be carried out concurrent to the current trends and in relation to the
state of art.

5. METHODOLOGY
This section specifies the type of design utilized in the project, such as the approach to data
collection, analysis, and implementation in terms of modules. It should detail the context of the
work, e.g. key informants, discuss techniques for data collection and explain them. It may be
useful to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the chosen design. Specifications: hardware
and software.

6. PLANNING AND SCHEDULE
Concise planning for project execution must be stated. Detailed weekly and monthly
schedule is given. The entire project work is divided in several sub parts and the schedule is
prepared as per the work priority and apply software engineering method of showing Gantt
chart.
