3. The
Passage
Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some,
prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and
teachers;
Ephesians 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of
the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Ephesians 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of
the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the
measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
4. Answer
This passage of scripture shows that God has placed men in the
local church which is the ground and pillar of truth to instruct
men and train them to do the work of ministry, it states that
these men are tasked with the responsibility of perfecting the
saints (the believers in Christ) for the purpose of doing the work
of ministry, the said believer too is therefore to subject himself
too to be trained so as to make the work easier for the ministry
gift
5. The Goal of the
Training
Ephesians 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the
knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the
measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
Ephesians 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to
and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the
sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to
deceive;
Ephesians 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into
him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
Ephesians 4:16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together
and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to
the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh
increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Jesus Christ made it a port of duty to train his disciples himself, he was
available in person to teach and do the work giving them an example to
run with and look to, This is the way ministry is done, there must be no
assumption, the set man or disciples were with him, it speaks of
availability and commitment, the good shepherd is committed to his flock
