1. BLOOMINGDALE’S “HOLIDAY SWEEPSTAKES” OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR
WIN THIS SWEEPSTAKES. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR
CHANCE OF WINNING. These Official Rules govern the “Holiday Sweepstakes”
(“Sweepstakes”), which is offered by Bloomingdale’s By Mail, LTD (“Sponsor”).
1. SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: Sweepstakes begins at 12:01 am, EST on November 10,
2014, and ends at 11:59 pm, EST on January 1, 2015 (the “Sweepstakes Period”). All entries
must be received prior to the end of the Sweepstakes Period.
2. ELIGIBILITY: Sweepstakes open to legal residents of the 50 United States and District of
Columbia, who are least eighteen (18) years of age as of date of entry, except employees of
Sponsor and its affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, and such employees’
immediate family members and/or those living in the same household. Sweepstakes void in
Puerto Rico and where prohibited by law.
3. HOW TO ENTER: Visit www.bloomingdales.com and follow prompts to Sweepstakes
instructions (the “Sweepstakes Site”), complete and submit the “Official Electronic Entry
Form,” which will be available at the Sweepstakes Site during the Sweepstakes Period. Enter
online as often as you like during the Sweepstakes Period but mechanically duplicated or
automated entries are not permitted. All entries submitted become the sole property of
Sponsor and cannot be returned. The Sweepstakes Site is the official timekeeper for the
Sweepstakes.
4. ADMINISTRATION: Entries are deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-
mail address used to submit an entry at time submitted. In case of any doubt as to entrant, the
natural person who owns the email address utilized to enter at time of entry (i.e., the
“authorized account holder”) will be deemed the entrant. Sponsor, in its sole discretion,
reserves the right to disqualify any person who tampers with the entry process or is otherwise
in violation of these Official Rules. Sponsor further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or
modify any this Sweepstakes if it is not capable of being administered as described in these
Official Rules, whether by tampering, unauthorized intervention or force majeure. By
entering, each entrant confirms (or as to entrants who are minors in the jurisdiction in which
they reside, their parents/legal guardians confirm) that s/he has read these Official Rules and
agrees that s/he understands and will comply with them, attests to being over eighteen (18)
years of age at time of entry, and affirmatively “opts in” to receiving marketing email
communications from Bloomingdale’s and bloomingdales.com. To the extent permitted by
law, participation constitutes each entrant’s consent, without further compensation or
approval, to use of entrant’s name, likeness and/or biographical data for advertising and
promotional purposes by Sponsor or its designee, whether or not in connection with
Sweepstakes. Each entrant also agrees to be solely responsible for entrant’s own actions and
for any liability related to her/his participation or receipt and/or use of any prize offered and to
release, defend and hold Sponsor, its affiliates, any prize provider and each of their respective
officers, directors, employees, agents, insurers and their successors and assignees (collectively,
the “Sweepstakes Entities”) each harmless from and against any liability for losses, damages

2. or injuries in connection with his/her participation in the Sweepstakes or the award and/or use
of a prize.
5. PRIZE DESCRIPTION: One (1) winner will be chosen to receive the following
prize:
One (1) $5,000 Bloomingdale’s Gift Card
Gift Card valid for use at any Bloomingdale’s store or on bloomingdales.com. Prize not
transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash or used to pay account
balance. Aggregate retail value of prize: $5,000. Prize is non-transferable and no cash
equivalent or substitution by winner is allowed. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute
prize for one of equal or greater value.
6. SELECTION OF WINNER: Winner will be selected by means of a random drawing to
be held on or about January 12, 2015, by a Sponsor representative. Entrants may not be
present at drawing. Potential winner will be notified on or about January 16, 2016, by mail
and/or email. Odds of winning determined by the number of entries received. Potential winner
will be required to complete, sign and return an “Affidavit of Eligibility and Release,” a copy
of which will be included in the material provided with notification of having been selected as
the potential winner. In the event that a dispute arises regarding the Sweepstakes, including
any individual’s entitlement to receive a prize, any entry made online, the authorized account
holder will be deemed to have made the entry and to be the potential winner. If winner is a
minor in the state of residence, prize will be awarded in the name of his/her parent/legal
guardian, who will be required to timely execute the necessary affidavit and release. If a
potential winner (or his/her parent/legal guardian) does not complete, sign and return such
Affidavit of Eligibility and Release within ten (10) days of notification or otherwise does not
timely comply with these Official Rules, that potential winner will be disqualified and will
forfeit the prize. Such forfeited, refused and/or returned prize will be awarded to an alternate
winner, who will be selected in the same manner as the disqualified potential winner, but will
have qualified pursuant to the qualification process. Should it be necessary, the foregoing
process will be repeated until a winner is qualified.
7. GENERAL RULES: The Sweepstakes Entities, including without limitation, Sponsor, are
not responsible for lost, late, damaged, delayed, incomplete, illegible, mutilated or misdirected
entries, entries not received by the entry deadline, or for electronic, network or computer
failures or malfunctions, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incomplete,
garbled or delayed computer transmission that may limit a user’s ability to participate in the
Sweepstakes, or other hardware, software or technical errors of any kind, including without
limitation any that may cause or result from any injury or damage to any person’s computer as
may have related to or resulted from participating in the Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the
right to cancel or modify the Sweepstakes, in whole or in any part, if fraud, misconduct or a
technical failure impairs its integrity or the administration, security, or proper administration
of the Sweepstakes, as determined by Sponsor, in its sole judgment. If the Sweepstakes is so
cancelled, a potential winner will be selected from among all eligible entries received prior to
the cancellation. At any time, an entrant may be requested to provide Sponsor with proof that
the entrant is the authorized account holder associated with the account/submission. Any use
of robotic, automatic, programmed or the like methods of participation will void all entries by

3. such a method. Sponsor reserves the right to prohibit the participation by an individual if
fraud or tampering is suspected, or if the individual fails to comply with any provision of these
Official Rules.
8. GOVERNING LAWS: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity,
interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, including the rights and obligations of
any entrant and Sponsor, shall be likewise governed by, and construed in accordance with, the
laws of the State of New York, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law
rules; provided that, federal, state and local laws and regulations may also apply and the
Sweepstakes is void where prohibited by any such applicable law. By participating in this
Sweepstakes, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor.
Except where prohibited by applicable law, by accepting a prize, the winner agrees that
Sponsor may use the winner’s name, address (city, state), likeness, and/or prize information
for advertising, publicity and promotional purposes (whether or not related to this
Sweepstakes) and to the use of any statements made by or attributed to winner relating to
Sponsor and/or this Sweepstakes. Winner further grants to Sponsor any and all rights to said
use without further notice and/or compensation to the fullest extent permitted by applicable
law except only where prohibited by said law.
9. DISPUTE RESOLUTION: To the extent permitted by applicable law, entrants agree that:
(1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this
Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of
class action, and exclusively by the United States District Court for the Southern District of
New York or the appropriate New York State Court located in New York County; (2) any and
all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred,
including costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes, but shall in no event include
attorneys’ fees; and (3) under no circumstances will an entrant be permitted to obtain awards
for, and each entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and
consequential damages or any damages other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses or to have
any damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All entrants agree to waive any objection to
the foregoing venue and further waive trial by jury in any such proceeding.
