Meeting the needs of the whole child as an individual cognitively, physically, social & emotionally, and spiritually. We encourage families to partake in this process because we believe that team work is necessary and that parents are their child’s first teacher.
Vision
Our vision is to help the children we care for to become all they can be through a structured, loving, understanding, and safe, environment.
Mission
Our mission is to engage the students and their families in the learning process. We want to make learning fun and challenging for our children through the arts, and creative play. Each child is thought of as an individual so, we strive to meet their needs through lessons that are geared toward each child without making them feel different or separated from the other children in our care.
The assessment characteristic I will be using to focus on defining quality as a continuum is an ongoing assessment. The Early childhood Assessment is a tool I will be using as an ongoing assessment tool to collect information concerning each child for teachers, and the families of the children in my center. The information I gather will be used daily by myself, teachers, and parents to assess and assist children in the growth and develop process of each child, create a curriculum, set goals, and create an environment that is conducive for them cognitively, physically, socially and emotionally, and language wise. This assessment involves the teachers first observing the children and then documenting their findings. This assessment process will help us to run a more efficient and quality program for children and their families. By using this ongoing assessment tool we will be required to
· keep a record of each child’s growth and development
· specify the children that require extra support
· create an individualized plan for each child
· take note of their strengths and weaknesses
· ensure communication is strong between teachers, parents and other necessary staff members on a regular basis through home visits, parent conferences, and parent involvement activities in the center.
In an effort to ensure continuous improvement in my center will also welcome feedback from our parents.

Deep Leg Vein Thrombosis occurs when a blood clot forms in one or more of the deep veins in the legs. These clots can impede blood flow, leading to severe complications.
Defecation
Normal defecation begins with movement in the left colon, moving stool toward the anus. When stool reaches the rectum, the distention causes relaxation of the internal sphincter and an awareness of the need to defecate. At the time of defecation, the external sphincter relaxes, and abdominal muscles contract, increasing intrarectal pressure and forcing the stool out
The Valsalva maneuver exerts pressure to expel faeces through a voluntary contraction of the abdominal muscles while maintaining forced expiration against a closed airway. Patients with cardiovascular disease, glaucoma, increased intracranial pressure, or a new surgical wound are at greater risk for cardiac dysrhythmias and elevated blood pressure with the Valsalva maneuver and need to avoid straining to pass the stool.
Normal defecation is painless, resulting in passage of soft, formed stool
CONSTIPATION
Constipation is a symptom, not a disease. Improper diet, reduced fluid intake, lack of exercise, and certain medications can cause constipation. For example, patients receiving opiates for pain after surgery often require a stool softener or laxative to prevent constipation. The signs of constipation include infrequent bowel movements (less than every 3 days), difficulty passing stools, excessive straining, inability to defecate at will, and hard feaces
IMPACTION
Fecal impaction results from unrelieved constipation. It is a collection of hardened feces wedged in the rectum that a person cannot expel. In cases of severe impaction the mass extends up into the sigmoid colon.
DIARRHEA
Diarrhea is an increase in the number of stools and the passage of liquid, unformed feces. It is associated with disorders affecting digestion, absorption, and secretion in the GI tract. Intestinal contents pass through the small and large intestine too quickly to allow for the usual absorption of fluid and nutrients. Irritation within the colon results in increased mucus secretion. As a result, feces become watery, and the patient is unable to control the urge to defecate. Normally an anal bag is safe and effective in long-term treatment of patients with fecal incontinence at home, in hospice, or in the hospital. Fecal incontinence is expensive and a potentially dangerous condition in terms of contamination and risk of skin ulceration
HEMORRHOIDS
Hemorrhoids are dilated, engorged veins in the lining of the rectum. They are either external or internal.
FLATULENCE
As gas accumulates in the lumen of the intestines, the bowel wall stretches and distends (flatulence). It is a common cause of abdominal fullness, pain, and cramping. Normally intestinal gas escapes through the mouth (belching) or the anus (passing of flatus)
FECAL INCONTINENCE
Fecal incontinence is the inability to control passage of feces and gas from the anus. Incontinence harms a patient’s body image

Antibiotic Stewardship by Anushri Srivastava.pptxAnushriSrivastav
Stewardship is the act of taking good care of something.
Antimicrobial stewardship is a coordinated program that promotes the appropriate use of antimicrobials (including antibiotics), improves patient outcomes, reduces microbial resistance, and decreases the spread of infections caused by multidrug-resistant organisms.
WHO launched the Global Antimicrobial Resistance and Use Surveillance System (GLASS) in 2015 to fill knowledge gaps and inform strategies at all levels.
ACCORDING TO apic.org,
Antimicrobial stewardship is a coordinated program that promotes the appropriate use of antimicrobials (including antibiotics), improves patient outcomes, reduces microbial resistance, and decreases the spread of infections caused by multidrug-resistant organisms.
ACCORDING TO pewtrusts.org,
Antibiotic stewardship refers to efforts in doctors’ offices, hospitals, long term care facilities, and other health care settings to ensure that antibiotics are used only when necessary and appropriate
According to WHO,
Antimicrobial stewardship is a systematic approach to educate and support health care professionals to follow evidence-based guidelines for prescribing and administering antimicrobials
In 1996, John McGowan and Dale Gerding first applied the term antimicrobial stewardship, where they suggested a causal association between antimicrobial agent use and resistance. They also focused on the urgency of large-scale controlled trials of antimicrobial-use regulation employing sophisticated epidemiologic methods, molecular typing, and precise resistance mechanism analysis.
Antimicrobial Stewardship(AMS) refers to the optimal selection, dosing, and duration of antimicrobial treatment resulting in the best clinical outcome with minimal side effects to the patients and minimal impact on subsequent resistance.
According to the 2019 report, in the US, more than 2.8 million antibiotic-resistant infections occur each year, and more than 35000 people die. In addition to this, it also mentioned that 223,900 cases of Clostridoides difficile occurred in 2017, of which 12800 people died. The report did not include viruses or parasites

Hypertension is a chronic condition of concern due to its role in the causation of coronary heart diseases. Hypertension is a worldwide epidemic and important risk factor for coronary artery disease, stroke and renal diseases. Blood pressure is the force exerted by the blood against the walls of the blood vessels and is sufficient to maintain tissue perfusion during activity and rest. Hypertension is sustained elevation of BP. In adults, HTN exists when systolic blood pressure is equal to or greater than 140mmHg or diastolic BP is equal to or greater than 90mmHg. The
1. Unfolding the Spectrum: Navigating Autism Child
Therapy in Mumbai
For families in Mumbai navigating the journey of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD),
finding the right therapy for their child can feel like embarking on an uncharted
expedition. Yet, amidst the uncertainty, numerous specialized centers in Mumbai offer a
beacon of hope, providing tailored interventions that unlock potential and empower
children on the spectrum to thrive.
Understanding the Spectrum: A Landscape of Individual Needs:
ASD manifests itself in a diverse array of ways, with each child exhibiting a unique set
of strengths, challenges, and learning styles. Recognizing this individuality is crucial
when selecting therapy services. The best autism child therapy in Mumbai prioritize:
1. Individualized Treatment Plans:
One-size-fits-all approaches do not work in the world of ASD. The best centers create
personalized treatment plans that cater to each child's specific needs, goals, and
learning style. This involves comprehensive assessments, collaboration with families,
and ongoing adjustments to ensure the therapy remains effective and engaging.
2. Evidence-Based Interventions:
Effective therapy is grounded in scientific research and proven to yield positive
outcomes. The best centers in Mumbai utilize a combination of evidence-based
interventions, including:
● Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA): This structured approach utilizes positive
reinforcement to teach essential skills and modify behaviors, promoting
communication, social interaction, and self-care abilities.
● Speech-Language Therapy: This therapy focuses on developing communication
skills, including speech production, language comprehension, and social
communication strategies, allowing children to express themselves effectively
and engage meaningfully with others.
2. ● Occupational Therapy: This therapy addresses sensory processing challenges,
fine motor skills development, and daily living skills, promoting independence and
self-sufficiency.
● Play Therapy: This therapy utilizes play as a medium for communication,
emotional expression, and social learning, providing a safe and engaging
environment for children to explore their emotions and develop social skills.
3. Holistic Approach: Beyond Therapy Sessions:
The impact of therapy extends beyond individual sessions. The best centers in Mumbai
understand the importance of a holistic approach, encompassing:
● Family Education and Support: Workshops and support groups empower families
with knowledge about ASD, different therapeutic approaches, and effective
parenting strategies, enabling them to actively participate in their child's
development.
● Sensory Integration and Enrichment: Sensory-rich rooms and specialized
activities help children manage sensory input and develop self-regulation skills,
promoting calmer interactions and overall well-being.
● Social Integration and Play Dates: Structured social activities and play
opportunities allow children to practice social skills, build friendships, and learn
appropriate social interaction strategies.
● Educational Support: Collaboration with schools ensures children receive
appropriate educational support and accommodations in the classroom, fostering
academic success and inclusion.
4. A Team of Expert Therapists:
The success of any therapy program hinges on the expertise and dedication of its
therapists. The best autism child therapy centers in Mumbai boast a team of highly
qualified professionals who possess:
● Board Certification: Board-certified behavior analysts (BCBAs) and
speech-language pathologists (SLPs) hold the highest level of professional
accreditation and demonstrate advanced knowledge of evidence-based
practices.
● Experience and Specialization: Therapists with years of experience working with
children on the Autism Spectrum possess a deep understanding of their unique
needs and how to address them effectively.
3. ● Passion and Empathy: The best therapists are passionate about supporting
children with ASD and demonstrate genuine care, patience, and understanding in
their interactions.
5. Positive and Supportive Environment:
A warm, welcoming, and nurturing environment is essential for children with ASD to feel
safe and comfortable, facilitating optimal learning and growth. The best centers create
spaces that are:
● Sensory-Friendly: Lighting, noise levels, and textures are carefully considered to
create a calm and predictable environment that reduces sensory overload.
● Structured and Organized: Clear routines, visual schedules, and predictable
transitions promote a sense of security and reduce anxiety.
● Engaging and Stimulating: A variety of age-appropriate activities and materials
spark curiosity, promote learning, and foster a love for exploration.
6. Open Communication and Collaboration:
Effective therapy requires open communication and collaboration between therapists,
families, and other professionals involved in the child's care. The best centers:
● Maintain regular communication: Share progress updates, address concerns
promptly, and involve families in decision-making processes.
● Work collaboratively: Partner with educators, doctors, and other specialists to
ensure a coordinated approach to care and support.
● Respect family values: Integrate family preferences and cultural considerations
into the therapy program.
7. Data-Driven Approach:
The best centers in Mumbai utilize data-driven strategies to track progress and assess
the effectiveness of interventions. This involves:
● Regular assessments: Utilizing standardized tools to measure progress in
various developmental areas.
● Data analysis and interpretation: Evaluating data to identify areas that require
additional support and adjust therapy plans accordingly.
