Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)
❖ Bluetooth Low Energy is a technology that allows Bluetooth peripherals to
use less energy.
❖ It is a secure and simple wireless network technology that uses less power
and is more cost effective than traditional Bluetooth while providing a
similar range of communication.

❖ BLE beacons are attached to equipment and material containers
❖ For personnel tracking, beacons such as wristbands, badges, and keychains are worn by workers
❖ Gateways are strategically installed throughout a building, for example, on walls or ceilings.
❖ A gateway receives signals from a beacon and locates the beacon, hence track the asset or the people
with such beacon
❖ The gateway sends such location information to a server or cloud.
❖ The software saves the data on the server and uses an application programming interface to display
the results on a web-based application (API).

Assets Tracking
The following are the BLE components that are used for Asset Tracking:
1. Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Tags: These BLE beacons are battery-powered hardware transmitters that
transmit a small amount of data over a short distance while using very little power. At regular intervals,
the BLE beacons send a small amount of data.
2. BLE Gateway: The BLE Gateway, like all readers, receives data from BLE tags or Beacons and locates
the beacon, gateway then sends such location information to a server or cloud, so that the same statistics
can be reflected in the user end. The BLE Gateway provides real-time tracking information and updates
you on what the reader monitors on asset entry and exit.
3. Asset Tracking Platform: The asset tracking platform, also known as an application, is used to track
assets. The reader sends the data to the asset management software, which displays it. This
platform/application allows the user to report on the assets. It specifies the precise location of the
company's assets.

Assets Tracking Using BLE
Implementing BLE on finished-product or production batch level ensures visibility and data accuracy. The BLE Tag
Beacon that generates a unique identity to a product or batch at the moment it is manufactured. The product or batch is
from that point on tracked each time it passes an BLE read point. The Marks of the image introduced:
1. The BLE Beacon implementing a unique identifier to the product or batch (on item, pallet or other RTI level).
2. Automatically registering the stock location for individual products or batches as they are moved to warehouse and
registering any warehouse moves
3. Forklifts equipped with BLE can be used to pick items in a customer order for shipment to ensure picking accuracy
4. Using BLE gates at dock doors or BLE enabled forklift trucks during the loading of shipments ensures delivery
accuracy

GAORFID SKU# 217030 Gateway operates at 2.45GHz, 217030 is a
Bluetooth low energy (BLE) to 3G/4G cellular/LTE, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, PoE
connectivity gateway or signal receiver. The 217030 gateway collects the data
from GAORFID’s iBeacon and any other BLE devices, and then sends to the
local server or remote cloud server by MQTT/HTTPS protocol over 3G/4G,
