The document describes the three processes involved in biogas production through anaerobic digestion: 1) hydrolysis where bacteria break down carbohydrates, proteins, and lipids into simpler molecules; 2) acidogenesis where bacteria convert the simpler molecules into acids, hydrogen gas, and carbon dioxide; 3) methanogenesis where methanogenic bacteria convert the byproducts into methane gas, carbon dioxide, and water.
