He has over 25 years of experience in commercial and investment banking as well as at one of the big four accounting firms. As COO and Co-CEO of subsidiaries of global banks in Mexico, he played a key role in successfully implementing business strategies focused on growth, new products, technology, and optimization. He also led management committees and helped consolidate efficient corporate governance. Previously, he spent 12 years as an external auditor and consultant where he gained deep knowledge of banking regulation and operational risk management.

Dynamic executive with a successful track record of continuous growth of more than 25 years in global
entities engaged in commercial and investment banking entities, as well as at one of the biggest four
international accounting firms. His great ability to identify and address critical success factors and
inherent risks, is the result of his experience directing and coordinating multidisciplinary and multicultural
teams in charge of designing and implementing strategic plans for global financial institutions in Mexico.
In every organization he has been worked, he has not only addressed effectively and in a control the
operating environment in the areas under his responsibility, also he has led the implementation of efficient
management bodies, as well as fostering the adequacy and improvement of the operational processes. His
ability in working effectively with the business areas, allows his teams the execution of the plans and
programs aligned with the business objectives.
During the last 14 years he has acting at management level, having the roles of CFO, COO and Co-CEO on
subsidiaries of global banks in Mexico, playing a key role in the successful implementation of business
strategies; some of them with ambitious goals of growth on revenues, simultaneously with launching of
new products, implementing new technology platforms, strengthening the executive and managerial
levels and optimizing operational processes and controls, in the light of policies and practices of global
institutions in compliance with the Mexican banking regulation. He led during those years the main
management and control committees leading to those entities to consolidate an efficient and effective
corporate governance.
He participated in the local Board of Directors as well as in the strategic regional committees, acting as a
representative of senior management in the presentation of the local business and its financial results.
His professional career includes twelve-year experience as external auditor and consultant in one of the
top tier international accountant firms in Mexico where he rendered consulting, audit and advisory
services to financial institutions. It is there where he began his deep knowledge of banking regulation and
operational risk management, which has been capitalized for the understanding of how the organizations
can conduct their business in an optimal manner but in compliance with the Mexican regulatory
framework.
He is Public Accountant from the Instituto Autonomo de Mexico (ITAM). He has participated as an
instructor at the Mexican Institute of Public Accountants on banking accounting topics.
