Binary code uses the digits 0 and 1 to represent numeric values and computer instructions, with different combinations of 0s and 1s corresponding to OFF and ON. It is the simplest and most basic form of computer code. To read binary code, each digit represents a place value in the binary number system, and text can be converted to binary using ASCII codes which represent letters and characters with numeric values in binary form.
