Nate is preparing for a test by trying to come up with excuses to skip or get out of it. He sees his friend Francis studying and thinks a test is coming. His first ideas are to skip school or pretend he has to leave, but those won't work. He decides to forge a note from his father. However, before he can do that, Francis appears. Later, after getting a fortune cookie saying he will surpass others that day, Nate tries various activities to show he is better than others but fails each time, receiving punishments instead. The document also introduces some of the main characters in Nate's class and rates different types of school days from best to worst.

3. Teddy and Francis are Nate’s best friends. They are always together and they spend a really good time .Artur is a boy who Nate envy's because he is dating Jenny. She is who Nate is in love with. Artur makes everything better than him. For example, Artur’s drawing was hang in the art room and not Nate’s, jenny loves Artur not Nate, etc.

4. At the morning Nate watched through his window to Franci´s house(Nate's best friend and neighbour).He was reading a social studies book. Nate thought that Francis was studying because they’ll probably had a test, so he began thinking what to do. First he thought to skip the college directly, but it wouldn’t work. After that he thought to make an excuse to leave the test, but it neither works, so he decided to write a note “from his father” saying he has to leave. Nate was writing when Francis appears and…… Teddy gave Nate a fortune cookie that said "today you will surpass all others” so Nate made a lot of different things in which he thinks he could surpass all others. But unfortunately in each of his attempts he recieves a pink paper(punishment). Report-card style of school days!
