The decision to tag parts on planes is much more than a compliance effort to meet industry standards. It is an opportunity to fundamentally improve the tracking and tracing of assets through the supply chain. With information available directly on assets, airlines, MROs and airframe manufacturers can extend the value of those assets to create a value chain that will impact business operations with enormous return on investment. This presentation provides the value of real data on assets as they move throughout the supply chain and the impact it is and will have on operations. Stakeholders can go beyond basic birth certificate information to improving broader business processes. It will also include how updates in the latest version of Spec 2000 (Chapter 9-5) are positively affecting immediate and future airline operations.
