Bernard Faucon started photography with a small box camera given to him by his grandmother despite having no formal photography training. He began by combining real people and scenes with mannequins to mix reality and imagination. After this early work, he stopped photographing for 10 years. In 1997, he started his collection "The Most Beautiful Day of My Youth" where he hosts photography festivals for youth ages 15-20 in various international locations. At each festival, hundreds of young people are given disposable cameras and encouraged to photograph whatever they want while Faucon provides food, drinks, and props to set an exciting mood.
