This document provides instructions for bending PVC pipe using two different methods. The first method involves heating the PVC with a heat gun and bending it around sand, while keeping a firm grip until cooled. The second method uses a spring inserted inside the PVC instead of sand to maintain the bent shape as it cools. Safety cautions are given to perform the bending outdoors or with a respirator due to fumes, and to avoid injury from the springing back of hot PVC.

GOOD HOLD ON THE PVC UNTIL IT HAS COOLED TO AVOID IT SPRINGING BACK AND CAUSING INJURY.

AS THE PIPE VIPER. FOR LARGE DIAMETER PIPE, I
INSERT A USED GARAGE DOOR SPRING. I ACQUIRED A
COUPLE OF THEM FREE THAT WERE DISCARDED BY A
GARAGE DOOR SUPPLIER.
• FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS ABOVE.
•TIP: ATTACH A WIRE, OR SMALL CHAIN, AT ONE OF THE
SPRING TO AID IN REMOVAL AFTER THE PIPE COOLS.
