Manscaping, or body hair removal for men, has become a billion dollar industry. There are various methods for men to remove unwanted body hair, including waxing, sugaring, shaving, depilatory creams, and laser hair removal. Waxing involves applying wax to the hair and quickly removing the wax strip. It is important to exfoliate after waxing and avoid ingrown hairs. Shaving provides only temporary hair removal and can lead to razor bumps. Laser hair removal requires multiple sessions but can provide long-lasting or permanent hair reduction. While some methods can be done at home, professional grooming services are also available for men seeking a full body grooming experience.

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines, the gold standard for diagnosing an active head lice infestation is the identification of a live nymph or adult louse.
These guidelines recommend an examination of wet hair lubricated with such products as a standard hair conditioner. Your doctor will carefully comb your child's hair with a fine-toothed comb (nit comb) from the scalp to the end of the hair. If no live louse is found, he or she will likely repeat the entire exam at a second appointment.

Sample scenarios that may be discussed include a woman who wears weaves but has natural hair underneath, a woman who has tried both relaxed and natural hair, and a woman who wore wigs after chemotherapy treatment.
The document debunks common hair myths and provides hair care tips, such as regular trims being necessary for healthy hair rather than faster growth, and combing wet hair from the bottom rather than the top to prevent damage. It also introduces Urbanista Image Consulting LLP and its founder Sheena Agarwal, who provides image consulting services to help clients enhance their personal presence through appearance, behavior, and communication.

Brazilian Blowout Products”

4. It’s safe, just use as directed!
Q1. Does the Keratin hair treatment have Side Effects?
vWhile most people do not experience side effects, all straightening treatments can have issues
because of the heat. Breakage and split ends are possible. Be on the lookout after the first wash
and use the recommended moisturizers so you enjoy smooth, straight, frizz free hair.
Q2. Is Formaldehyde Intoxication one of the Keratin hair
treatment Side Effects?
A2. The buzz about safety is due in part to formaldehyde. The products we use in the salon and
the good home use products are perfectly safe for you, the client, because of the very low levels
of formaldehyde they contain.
The risk of exposure is for the stylist who is working with the product all day long. It’s not for the
client who is exposed once every 3 months for 60 minutes. You may be exposed to more formal-
dehyde in your home than with a well formulated keratin treatment.
Is BKT best for me?
Q3. Is keratin hair straightening the best treatment for frizzy
damaged or processed hair?
A3. It has been our experience, that good candidates for the Brazilian Blowout are
anyone who has frizzy, damaged or processed hair. We have performed the treatment
on every hair type (fine/course/frizzy/curly), as well as hair that has been permed,
Japanese straightened and extensions. In doing so, we have found that with proper
communication and a well considered application, everyone can benefit from the Bra-
zilian Blowout smoothing treatment.
Q4. With Brazilian blowout does your hair returns to normal
when the keratin treatment washes out?
A4. Yes, the hair will revert to its original state once the Brazilian Blowout treatment
4
5. has completed its life cycle of 10-12 weeks for Salon Strength and 5 weeks for formal-
dehyde free. There is an added benefit as the condition of the hair will actually im-
prove over time due to the fortifying effect of keratin.
Q5. Which works best: Relaxers, Japanese straightening, or Keratin
Hair Straightening?
A5. Relaxers and Japanese straightening change the actual structure of the hair,
without enhancing the shine, so the new growth line is quite visible. To prevent a
weird look as your hair grows out you must continue these treatments. In the salon
we prefer keratin hair straightening because there is no growth line, your hair will
nave extra body, better shine, and be more manageability. AND Keratin “wears off” in
4-12 weeks depending on the formula.
Q6. Is keratin hair straightening best for curly hair or ethnic
hair?
A6. In the salon we found that anyone with frizzy, damaged or processed hair is
a good candidate for keratin hair straightening. We have straightened fine, course,
frizzy, curly, as well as hair that has been permed, Japanese straightened and with ex-
tensions. In doing so, we have found that when applied according to instructions, all
hair types can benefit from Brazilian keratin smoothing treatments.
Q7. Is keratin hair straightening the best treatment for limp,
thin, and fine hair?
A7. Yes, the hair will have great body and hold. Thinner, finer hair does not need as
much heat to make the keratin adhere to the hair shaft. Always check that the hair is
healthy enough to handle the heat. We recommend 450 degrees for normal hair and
400 weak hair.
Q8. Is keratin hair straightening the best for hair exten-
sions?
A8. Yes. It is best for the stylist to perform the Brazilian Blowout separately on the
extensions prior to putting them into the hair. You can use on extensions that are al-
ready in the hair, but be extremely careful when applying the solution to the bonded
area. The Brazilian Blowout solution is a conditioning agent, and may create slip re-
sulting in the extensions separating from the hair. If you are careful and work to first
separate the extension hair from your own hair, great results can be achieved.
5
6. Q9. Are home keratin treatments long lasting?
A9. The duration of the straightened hair with a BKT treatment is a little different
for each user depending on hair type. Extra curly, coarse hair is more resistant to the
straightening effects. The biggest difference comes from Salon Strength or formalde-
hyde free BKT.
As for thin, fine hair, it is usually much enough to use a formaldehyde free formula.
Q10. How does keratin hair straightening compare with a
chemical relaxer?
A10. Chemical relaxer hair straightening changes the actual structure of the hair.
So, you will see a clear difference between new hair growth and the hair that has
been treated. Also, there are side effects of relaxers are: they remove body, leave
hair flat, too straight and with little to no shine or luster. In the salon we found kera-
tin treatments work best.
Bonus Questions and Answers!
How well does it work?
Q11. Are the home use keratin hair straightening formulas
effective?
A11. Yes they are effective. Salon BKT treatments are different from at-home BKT
treatments in two ways: 1)Cost: Salons charge upwards of $300 for the treatment
and the stylist. At-home treatments cost under $100. 2) Salon treatments generally
contain formaldehyde and are long lasting while home use products come in both for-
mulas ie Salon Strength and formaldehyde free.
Q12. Are there safety risks or side effects with a Keratin
Hair Treatment?
A12. Your hair’s health is on the line when you treat it with chemical colorants,
relaxers, perms, straighteners and of course heat. Formaldehyde is in our lives every
6
7. day in: plastic, wood, cleaners, exhaust fumes, and in some Keratin treatments. It is
naturally occurring and in excessive concentrations a known carcinogen.
In the salon we always check out a product’s ingredients, follow the instructions, and
pay attention to aftercare. This maximizes the positive effects and minimizes the pos-
sible side effects. Do the same at home.
Q13. How do keratin straightening treatments with formal-
dehyde compare to formaldehyde free treatments?
A13. Formaldehyde is present in BKT formulas to help more keratin bond to the
hair. Results with these Salon Strength formulas last about 90 days. The formalde-
hyde free Keratin formulas are available as well, and these treatments last about 30
days.
Q14. Do I have to risk Keratin Hair Treatment Side Effects
because of Formaldehyde?
A14. Not at all! I’ve found several keratin products that don’t use the chemical and
last 30 days. It comes down to this – if you’re concerned about formaldehyde but
want glossy, healthy, manageable hair, try a formula that is formaldehyde free. It will
last 30 days and you can decide later if the benefits of the longer lasting formula are
worth the chemical exposure.
Q15. Do Brazilian keratin treatments give a “grow” line like
other treatments?
A15. No. Unlike chemical relaxers and Japanese treatments, BKT treatments
wash out over time. Therefore, you do not have to “touch-up” your roots as your hair
grows. If you should decide to stop treating your hair you can let it wash out gradu-
ally without any side effects.
7
8. In conclusion, today
you have a choice in hair
straightening methods. You
can continue with the old harsh
chemical methods and perm, go
Japanese, or use a relaxer.
The modern alternative is
to smooth, straighten and
shine with keratin hair
straightening.
