Joshua 1:6-18
Then Moses
summoned
Joshua and
said to him in
the presence of
all Israel,
“Be strong and
courageous”.
“Do not be
afraid;
do not be
discouraged.”
Deuteronomy
31:7a, 8b
“Be strong
and
courageous
because
you will
lead these
people to
inherit the
land I swore
to their
forefathers
to give
them.”
Joshua 1:6
“Be strong and
very courageous.
Be careful to obey
all the law my
servant Moses
gave you; do not
turn from it to the
right or to the left,
that you may be
successful
wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:7
Then they answered Joshua, “Whatever you
have commanded us we will do, and
wherever you send us we will go. Just as we
fully obeyed Moses, so we will obey you.
Only may the Lord your God be with you as
he was with Moses… Only be strong and
courageous!” Joshua 1:16,17, 18c
And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell
about Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David,
Samuel and the prophets… Women received back
their dead, raised to life again. Others were tortured
and refused to be released, so that they might gain a
better resurrection. Some faced jeers and flogging,
while still others were chained and put in prison. They
were stoned, they were sawed in two; they were put to
death by sword. They went about in sheepskins and
goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated---
the world was not worthy of them.
Hebrews 11:32,35-38
But Peter said, “Ananias,
why has Satan filled your
heart to lie to the Holy
Spirit and to keep
back some of the price of
the land?While it
remained unsold, did it
not remain your own? And
after it was sold, was it
not under your control?
Why is it that you
have conceived this deed
in your heart? You have
not lied to men but to
God.” Acts 5:3-4
And as he heard
these words,
Ananias fell down
and breathed his
last; and great
fear came over all
who heard of
it. The young
men got up
and covered him
up, and after
carrying him out,
they buried him.
Acts 5:5-6

Now there elapsed an interval of about three
hours, and his wife came in, not knowing
what had happened.
And Peter responded to
her, “Tell me whether you sold the land for
such and such a price?” And she said,
“Yes, that was the price.” Acts 5:7-8
Then Peter said to
her, “Why is it
that you have
agreed together
to put the Spirit of
the Lord to the
test? Behold, the
feet of those who
have buried your
husband are at
the door, and they
will carry you
out as well.”
Acts 5:9
And immediately
she fell at his feet and
breathed her last, and
the young men came in
and found her dead,
and they carried her out
and buried her beside
her husband.
And great
fear came over the
whole church, and over
all who heard of these
things. Acts 5:10-11
And all the more believers in the Lord,
multitudes of men and women, were
constantly added to their number. Acts 5:14
Do not fear those who kill the body but are
unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is
able to destroy both soul and body
in hell. Matthew 10:28
The fear of
the LORD is
the beginning
of wisdom,
And the
knowledge
of the Holy
One is
understanding.
Proverbs 9:10
“Whoever
confesses me
before men, I will
also confess him
before my Father
in heaven. But
whoever
disowns me
before men, I will
also disown him
before my Father
in heaven.
Matthew 10:32-33
When the Lamb broke the
fourth seal, I heard the
voice of the fourth living
creature saying, “Come.”
I
looked, and behold,
an ashen horse; and he
who sat on it had the
name Death; and Hades
was following with him.
Authority was given to
them over a fourth of the
earth, to kill with sword
and with famine and
with pestilence and by the
wild beasts of the earth.
Revelation 6:7-8
Therefore,

               if
anyone is in
Christ,
                    he is
a new creation;

               the old
has gone,

   the new has
come!
If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve
the LORD, choose for yourselves today whom
you will serve: whether the gods which your
fathers served which were beyond the River,
or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you
are living; but as for me and my house, we will
serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:15
