A ghost-debunker comes to a boy's school to disprove the existence of ghosts, only to find her own beliefs
    challenged.
Haunted by the death of the fiancé, Florence spends her time debunking supernatural claims, using methodical
    and rational explanations to disprove the notion that the dead can still haunt us. She feels compelled to
    accept a request to go to Rookwood, a boarding school in the countryside where a boy has recently been
    found dead and rumors about a ghostly boy haunting the school are causing panic amongst pupils and
    parents alike.

      house from July 2010. Was based in the period after WW1.

•     The film opened at Toronto international film festival in September 2011 and was officially released in the
      UK and Ireland on November 1st 2011 and in Italy on 1st December 2011.
•     The film made £54,478 on the opening weekend of the 11th November.
Exhibition
•     Based on 24 views critics off the Rotten tomatoes website gave the film 71% and a average score of
      5.8/10.
•     Robin Colin from ‘The daily Telegraph’ stated Rarely does a horror film make the back of your neck tingle
      with the calibre of its performances as well as its jumps and jolts – but The Awakening, a beautifully
      mounted ghost story in the style of The Turn of the Screw, provides chills of both kinds."
